Just realizing I never posted a link to the fantabulous new trailer for Season 4 of #MrRobot.
Looks like our broken timeline issue with iOS 10.3.3 is fixed! Big thanks to @farblue for submitting the patch!! (and @LorenAmelang for testing!)
@mk @renclithero There are actually 14 Rules of Misogyny: 1st rule of misogyny: Women are responsible for what men do.
2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.
3rd rule of misogyny: Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.
4th rule of misogyny: Women's opinions are violence against men, thus male violence against women is justified.
5th rule of misogyny: Women and Feminism must be useful to men or they are worthless.
6th rule of misogyny: Women who go around being female AT men by menstruating and breast feeding babies deserve punishment.
7th rule of misogyny: Women should always be grateful to men for everything.
8th rule of misogyny: Men are whatever men say they are and women are whatever men say they are.
9th rule of misogyny: Men always know the "real reasons" for everything women do and say.
10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it makes men look bad.
11th rule of misogyny: Whatever women suffer from, it is worse when it happens to men.
12th rule of misogyny: Women's ability to recognize male behavior patterns is misandry.
13th rule of misogyny: Angry women are crazy. Angry men have trouble expressing themselves.
14th rule of misogyny: Women have all the rights they need: The right to remain silent.

A young feminist is dying of brain cancer. I don’t know much about her, and have only watched a couple of her videos although her illness had been mentioned.
But it struck me, as I was tearing up through the tributes to her, that she exemplifies a quality that sets apart what makes a feminist.
In her dying months, when she could have been enjoying bucket lists and holidays or just closed off with loved ones and going crazy - she has spent time and energy trying to protect women and girls. She knew the hate she would get, the bans, the blame, the gaslighting, the screeching, the name calling and insults. She could have chosen to die in peace and hope those who will face the consequences fought this battle.
But she chose this. Because for some women, their love for other women and girls is so all encompassing, so overwhelming that they’d rather live their lives doing one small bit to protect the little girls that will come after.
Programmer here, and the idea of individuals who have grown up as men taking the women's places and awards enrages me.
The childhood socialization is absolutely a factor, but in addition to that, none of these adult males (who had careers already as men) were ever pressured to be on the Mommy Track, and that matters.
If it's truly a case of "I was offered the award of Woman of the Year in my company, and I don't want to out myself" (which I am not buying in a million years, but just play along for the moment) then the classy thing to do is find some reason, ANY reason, to decline the award.
All that aside though, I actually think that SOME of what falls under "girl socialization in school" is HELPFUL in tech and programming. The attention to detail, careful observation, collaboration. In 2019, no one is a genius in an ivory tower getting to create something completely from scratch, and as someone who is now leading teams, I find a lot of young fresh male college graduates to require a bit of... retraining, really.
If we could only keep those good aspects, but get all the good aspects of "male" socialization, most importantly the encouragement to take risks and experiment, we'd really be getting somewhere.
And yeah part of the reason I utterly love this job is no one cares what I wear...
@realcaseyrollins @realcaseyrollins Bruh I didn't know that Gab had atom feeds thanks

Matthew 22:37-39 is my mantra:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
But Phillipians 4:4 is my favorite verse of all time:
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
