But for now the US government has proven to have quite some pretty strong checks&balances so who knows.

We'd just have to check that everything continues working each time we update Mastodon, and it would still require us to maintain a slightly modified Mastodon fork I'm calling Mastodon Engine.

The biggest thing on my mind lately is trying to make Soapbox use Mastodon as a dependency instead of a fork, so Mastodon can be upgraded behind the scenes without a bunch of merge conflicts.

I'm also interested in letting the quote posting feature federate.

Now if you say Rob Monster's crappy privacy services suck, that's a horse of a different color.

Good morning, is there a way to save toots? For example one that has several links of interest? There is so much information flowing in the stream it can be hard to find it again once you return from a link . Especially if you have been away for a few hours and would like to return to it... sorry for reposting but the first one did not show up in the stream for some reason. Thanks
