@cafkafk But in cases of loans all the parties involved are incentivized to create loans, because they believe this will increase the share of total money in existence that they own, no?

@cafkafk Creation of money makes value of existing money lower, so I would expect that binding creation of money to something would cause everyone with money to be incentivized to stop that something (unless that something has a side effect of increasing the amount of money _they_ have too).

More wording than anything else:

I haven't seen people say that "child abuse" is an example of ideology (rather just a description of an act). Do you want to say pro-child abuse and pro-CP there?

@delroth

> I don't know what you mean by "these threads"

Trip narratives.

> I'm very uninterested in manually catering to everyone's very specific opinions on what they want to see from my feed, there's always the option to unfollow.

Not for the purpose of seeing less of them.

@delroth Maybe consider hashtagging these threads with something consistent?

@Alyzande@social.linux.pizza

3xx can redirect to the same server, in which case reading it as fuck off is very amusing

1xx can mean "let's do something totally different" (101 switching protocols), but I don't see an obvious pithy way of including that.

war, speculation

@yetzt The rocket did actually crash in Przewodów, and not just next to the border. There's quite a few photos of the crash location or the plume of smoke, which were geolocated by fellows on twitter to this grain storage place: openstreetmap.org/#map=19/50.4

is awesome.

(Please be sure to CW spoilers, and be aware I won't read them for at least a longish while.)

Outrage machines, self-care

@grrrr_shark Ah, I see: I was wrong about these things being orthogonal.

@delroth @m Or if someone causes you DoS-style grief (yes, they could do so in a way that circumvents instance blocks, but that's harder technically).

@cloudhop Very rarely you can change society by making some technology generally available (v. history of the pill).

Outrage machines, self-care

@grrrr_shark

WDYM by outrage machine? The way I understand it is "something that is part of a positive feedback loop of outrage", but then you talk about people who _want_ to be outraged, which seems orthogonal to whether they participate in such feedback loops. So, you probably are thinking about a related-but-not-exactly-this concept, I'm wrong about these being orthogonal, or some other interesting thing I'm missing.
