Day #069 of #100DaysToOffload and I reason skepticism and wonder.
@mpjgregoire@mamot.fr I’d agree regarding the publicity the threat receives, but there are still key flashpoints, even post the collapse of the USSR.
National leaders have undermined several arms control initiatives. Political conflicts regarding nuclear programs in Iran and North Korea also remain unresolved.
Although public awareness of climate change has grown exponentially, few globally organised initiatives have resulted and in some cases, national leaders are rolling back previous commitments.
Finally, the information ecosphere is being corrupted by hackers, fake news and the propensity for social media algorithms to propagate misinformation and create echo chambers. Which undercuts societies ability to respond effectively.
All in all, it pushes the world toward midnight in a way previous socio-political climates haven’t.

@freddy exactly what I was looking for! Was confident the fediverse would be able to guide the way. 🙂

@basil really? You just can’t help some people can you. 😔
@basil sounds like they need someone tech savvy to build an integrated platform. I wonder who has the skillset to do that... 🙃

Day #065 of #100DaysToOffload and I enjoy a bit of cartographic escapism.
@dajbelshaw amazing results! But, I am surprised any doctoral thesis has accumulated so many views. Clearly a solid proof case for open access as I am sure most printed versions only accumulate a half dozen views in their lifetime.
Day #064 of #100DaysToOffload and I contemplate change management.

@ggarron last version is still available on Write.as if you want to compare.
Day #062 of #100DaysToOffload and I pen an ode to a yoghurt pot.
@freddyym thanks for the share! I very much like that theme and will test it out. Some nice features.
Day #061 of #100DaysToOffload and I am a little lacklustre.
