That's, I think, it's what I think a frontend programmer should do. Not just simply send some request and display what backend gives you and call it a day, but rather spend sometime on UI and animation. That "wow" moment I got from that SCP work makes me kinda envy those frontend developers who can make that. That a really amazing work.

It's a beautiful work. I'm amazed how one can achieve such an incredible effect just use wikidot.

But unfortunately, I can't understand the story. I'm too stupid to enjoy it :<

Wow, such a great SCP work. Peaceful and romantic.

I hate scary ones because they really get me. Will have a bad influence on my sleep. But this one is so good.

Instead of searching for the meaning of life, today, it started searching for private investigators after I said hello.

Ollama is great for downloading and run different model over rest api, but you can't enforce the output format.

I think llamacpp is still the best one to use since it can force the output to follow a grammar. So you won't get junks if the model decides to f*ck up you when your code requires a json response.

I hate Google.

the llm request a search so my code did so. But Google changed the class names and my code stopped working. Wasted 6 hours of gpu processing.

As I can't post pictures on qoto yet, but I do find a way to force LLM to generate response in JSON, thus enabling it to request external services like google search (powered by selenium) and browse url (clean up by JSoup).

The only downside is my laptop can't handle those huge input fast enough. Especially when I don't want to spend time on clean up those HTML, I just dump them in and wait.

Had a lot of things wanting to say, but I ultimately forgot them when I couldn't spill them out during the maintenance of qoto.

I still don't think I'm a mastodon user several days ago, until I noticed qoto is down and I have nowhere to post my words. Rethink a bit, and I realized that qoto has become my major platform to spill out words. And I'm feeling comfortable with that. What a luxury.

One of my friends said, "Describe your life in another language, and you will realize how ridiculous it is." I didn't believe it until today. I'm kinda explaining what life looks like in China. It's pretty normal in Chinese words, but when you have to find those words to represent those Chinese only things, it becomes ridiculous.

For example, the house price. There is no land price in China since by law all lands are government properties and they lend the land to you because you buy a house. And the household registration thing, we called hukou (there is an entry on Wikipedia for this term), it basically limits the freedom of moving to a city. You must bond to a city/place before you can live. The bond requires government approval. Not mention the already scary thing, like during the covid19, the police will break into your house and force you to be isolated, not because you're affected but because they think you're suspicious.

That sentence might not always be correct. Sorry for my limited knowledge, but I assume if you live somewhere like Europe, then your life is not ridiculous at all. One's life won't become ridiculous just because they use different languages to describe. It sounds ridiculous because it's ridiculous. They just didn't notice that in their native/local language.
