they put a christmas sweater on the t-rex at the national history museum in london and it's ridiculous and adorable

Update on
This morning is a little better. But I do not think his condition is improving, just that he is better able to navigate the situation. He was walking around better this morning. But you can see he is still really disoriented and still experiencing the vertigo.

He ate a little bit this morning and drank water, but I have to hold the dish for him still he can't quite control his head. But he is still stumbling quite a bit. I noticed this morning he almost fell but he caught himself but started spinning in a circle so I had to grab him. Right now he is resting comfortably on his bed in the office next to me while I work.

We have a follow up vet visit tomorrow at 3pm. I hope that there is more they can do for him. I hate that he is going through this.

Regarding - The short version:
The last 24 hours have been extremely stressful. Rufus was at the emergency vet all day yesterday having tests done. He has been diagnosed with a vestibular disorder. What this means if there is something going on in his inner ear. He is basically experiencing vertigo so his whole world has been spinning for the last 24 hours. This has the effect of making it VERY difficult for him to walk or even stand. He is on Anti-nausea medication and the Emergency vet advised waiting 2-3 days to see if it resolves on it's own, and if not to set up a follow up with his regular vet to start him on a course of anti-biotics.
Right now Rufus is miserable. I was able to hand feed him last night, but he cannot eat on his own. I tried to get him to sleep and he would dose off be as soon as he opens his eyes and the room is spinning again - he panics. I called his vet this morning and am waiting on a call back to see if maybe we should start the anti-biotics sooner rather than let him suffer for 2-3 days.
I absolutely HATE that there is nothing I can do for him right now, it's killing me.

Video: You can see is eyes moving because for him the room is spinning.

Where do rainbows go when they are bad?
Prism. It's a light sentence.

and I are at the emergency vet. I don't ask for prayers, but positive thoughts appreciated.

I have to be up at 5:30 in the morning to make sure I can get to a doctor's appointment by 7:30 in the morning. Working from home has really got me spoiled. I have gotten too used to my commute in the morning being 45 seconds.

OK fans of Monster - Which of these is your favorite modern era giant monster movie?

(I can only have four options, so feel free to respond with something that is not on this list.)

Feel free to boost!

Everyone should be thankful for Brendan Fraser. Here's a wonderful GQ interview with him analysing some of his roles and praising every single person he's worked with.

OK I do not know what is going on with the @Mastodon android app right now, but I am going to have to turn off notifications because I am getting the same notifications over and over and over again. I've easily had 20 notifications for the same activity in the last five mins.

I did not expect to like , but at this point I am starting to think this could have easily been a live action series! I am really enjoying it!
