If you’d like to learn to program I would consider the SICP [1] more or less the peak of American CS pedagogy (at least as far as beginners go) along with “The Practice of Programming” once you get through that.
I play ukulele, I’m ok at reading music and decent at improv. I learned from Walter Piston’s “Harmony” and some of Adam Neely’s videos.
My main phone is a pine phone so if I don’t pick up when you call the battery is probably dead, the modem is probably dead, or I’m currently swearing at calls/pulseaudio/alsa. I’d strongly recommend sending an email instead.
Dispite what my web page says I’ve stopped uploading my scratch projects to GitHub once I started to understand the basics of collaboration with git. I was using the flamegraph as gamification/motivation but it doesn’t work as well with feature branch/squash merge workflows so I just keep most things on my VPS until I’m happy with publishing updates.

@itouchu I've always thought it would be better if they left Virginia, maybe joining Maryland or DC.
@itouchu Perhaps my understanding of "the masses" is different from yours.
I've wandered around Richmond at 2:00AM and grew up in the middle of Virginia and my understanding of people is pretty different from that. They know what's going on, they're just waiting.
The only thing that remotely matches that is the place I've lived the past year;Fairfax. That's an odd place anyway though and doesn't represent the country or the state.
Kyle stood on Reason the whole time. It's one of the greatest arguments for our nation and government.

I remember standing in the fields down by the James River as my dad explained to me that the UN was proposing a new law where (IIIRC) essentially land owners would forfeit their land rights for some "market" value and the local government could build subdivisions on their land.
Our municipality eventually rejected this idea. I'm not entirely sure why, a single person (or maybe their family, that was never clear to me) owned most of the land.
The world would be better without the UN.

I hate myself and I know I drink to much but what little grasp I have left on reality I can see we don't disagree so much.
Maybe a year or so from now we can be friends again. I miss that.
