I'd argue that Keyoxide is better because:

- It doesn't encourage you to download needless software.
- It encourages you to handle your PGP keys individually, and not depend on some external acount on some platform.

But I can see reasons for the alternative. I haven't used Keybase.

I find the local timeline great as it is. Not to sparse or dense.

It was more of just a thought of whether you had a particular max number in mind, or if you had any commitments against small scale centralisation.

I'd imagine 13000 accounts (granted, some bots) is maybe a lot to handle. Doesn't seem like it though.

People also naturally inclined to take what they can instead of conserve, and grow as much as they can. What are your thoughts?

@freemo
Have you considered capping the total number of users?

@torresjrjr It's not a "decentralized wiki." It's a decentralized encyclopedia P2P encyclopedia network, like the blogosphere, but for encyclopedias.

@lsanger
That clarification isn't clear, but thank you.

What brings you back after a year of hiatus?

I realized social media it's ok that you post nothing when you don't want to. because if you push yourself. It's going to be saying something you don't mean it. in that way. It’s not you.

Python is one of the very slowest languages. It's designed to be readible and very high level at a great cost of speed.

Good python code (Pythonic code) is unique and has good use of its primitives (see the Python data model and the standard library).

If course, there's always a best and worst tool for a job.

Today in digital archaeology: I wanted a PDF calendar generator and found one from 2009 that seemed nice, but the website had long ago disappeared. Luckily the internet archive had crawled it, and since the code was GPL'ed, I was able to update it to build on a modern system and produce page-a-day agendas for my e-ink tablet. github.com/osresearch/DynamicT
