Another little #linux question I've pondering for some time.
Let's say I build myself a nice little #nixos on a VM. How can I make that into a "live cd" ISO that I can flash onto a USB drive and use as a live environment.
I dont need it to have an installer, just make the image bootable and useable on the USB?
Possible?
Made it to the botanical gardens, accidentally walked into an orchid exhibit! Lots of people. Wow.
Over 1 million photos have been shared on Pixelfed 🥳
We've more than doubled active users in the past year 🚀
We couldn't reach these milestones without people like you, thank you ❤️
Yeah, indeed, and we are only getting little bits of information, thing is if people realise how big tech is working they would if they have any sense stop using it.
I know some places have banned tik tok, but doing that without explanation or providing evidence could be counter productive.
We need to end our reliance on china to build our tech and start building in friendly countries even if that means prices go up.
@zleap the lack of privacy in other countriea is a huge issue. But china has a history of some really horrific atrocities that even the usa cant match (though comes close at times)
I am so proud of this project website that we will be using to recruit participants in the Northeast region of the UK https://www.solitude-lab.com/solitude-as-opporunity-for-rest
My team is working with charity partners, teams that work with retirees and mothers, and we really value making it professional, fun and #accessible #science. We make our brochures available online and also as printouts.
This process of thinking about the logistics and putting this together is so much fun!
If you live in a state where books are being banned, the Brooklyn Public Library offers a free eCard nationwide to those aged 13 to 21 to access their entire digital catalog for one year in an effort to combat this terrible act. Link here:

Water has unique properties, and each discovery about it underlines this fact. A new type of amorphous (non-crystalline) ice has been discovered. Amorphous ice is rare on earth but plentiful in space -- and may also be the major form of ice in Jupiter's large moons, causing tectonic shifts & quakes.

I am happy to try and discuss this topic further, not a full expert., just concerned about the true intentions of the capitalists who care more for money than anything else.
