I agree, even though looking briefly at the BBC'S Tech Now headlines china is making headway in terms of humanoid robots.
As for Journalism, we just need people who will go out, research a story and write about it, without the lure of click bait, just write the facts of the story, see both sides and report properly, and use proper proof reading. Maybe report on actual news, not endless nonsense about celebrities.
There is so much going on in the world, some good, some bad, so journalism does need to be to both extrems as some of the good stuff surely helps our mental wellbeing.
All this abuse will do is strengthen the resolve of MPs of all parties to crack down on genine free speech, double up on demands for id,digital id and age checks etc, and much more regardless of the consequences.

Would I be right in thinking this is a really good reason to use a VPM? amongst other mitigation strategies.
Anyone who claims fhey are committed to safeguarding children while still using Meta platforms, tiktok et al is clearly lying and not fit to be around children.
Meta only care about profits, and the rest of us have to pay the price.

@errantscience A few years ago, my college decided to have new fellows give short talks about their research at their welcome dinner. One of them was an aerospace engineer who worked with volcanologists. Her research involved building drones to fly into volcanoes. She had videos of her drones flying right down to the lava in calderas.
I have never felt as sorry for a speaker as I did for the person who had to go after her.

wrt, England FC, England are hosts to the womens rugby world cup, so we should be allowed to show support, as other home nations are also playing then supporters should be able to do the same.
I would have thought that many of those police officers share your sentiment, only they can't show that, but the fact they are there, hopefully they will step in if needed, don't forget they have radios, so if a person had a medical episode they can call for, or provide help.
Lets just hope that is the case, as they would have been police officers under Biden too.

So assuming this is a space reserved for the government, as they can't spell, make a badge that says US GOVERMENT (their spelling) put on the car dashboard, and park there.
Just keep this photo as evidence.
If they take you to court, point out to the judge the spelling error and that you were parked legally in that context.

@hacks4pancakes part of being an internet citizen means you must be sceptical. Or at least it would be healthy for people to be sceptical.
Understanding the caveats of situations, websites, and services is essential for wellbeing and safety.
How many situations could be improved from people engaging their critical thinking.
