Legal insurection!! so what happened on Jan 6th then, Trump lost the election, biden won, Trump refused to accept the result and his followers tried to storm the capital building, which was seen by many (including politicians and lawyers) as an insurrection.

This seems to be a problem in western society, where as in some cultures children stay near their parents and help look after them. Perhaps the west has just lost it's direction and become selfish and self centred (hence the me me, entitled attitude of many) to the extent where there is no going back.

It is probably not a good idea to solve this by burning stuff up in the atmosphere, it is almost like we need to ramp up being able to not only live in space but have some sort of industry to take old satellites, dismantle them and re-use the parts.

There must be a LOT of solar panels out there for a start, if they could be reused it could really help with power production in space.

The main difference between the USA and most other countries is the number of guns in the hands of people and people can mostly use those guns. There is only a certain amount people will put up with before they snap, and when the president sends in the military against civilians, it pits civilians against potential family members who are in the national guard, there will be a point where even the US generals in charge of those units say NO, and defy the orders of the president.

As for people who can't fight, family members will see that, look at the new costs of medical care and realise they are not simply fighting for their future but also for the future of those with no voice or choices due to illness.

I can see something happening, Musk is already trying to incite civil war here in the UK.

I think the US needs a civil war, I say that as the country is so polarized there is no going back from that, something has to snap and people need to fight it out, even though the cost in human lives could be immense, something HAS to happen.

Something is inevitable.

The sooner these party conferences are over the better, we cna the get back to regular PMQs and holding kier starmer to account on wide range of national, domestic and local issues that do not go on hold due to conferences.

The fact that no one can remove him from office is even more worrying, the US is meant to lead the free democratic world, other countries should be able to look to the US on how to do things, e.g hold elections, hold judges and elected officials to account. Instead, the USA becoming more of a lead for dictators on how to do things.

One consequence of this is that other countries such as the UK are following suit as it seems Reform and now Tories want to emulate your deportation programme.

Seems that there are over 750,000 illegals in the UK, where exactly have they got this figure from, if they ARE here illegally then they have come over during the 14 years of Conservative rule.

So not only leaving ECHR, so combine this with "set up a force to remove people quickly." this would clearly give that force to act more like ICE in the US, as in above the law, above question and scrutiny and just arrest and deport people without it seems due process which the ECHR allows.

So we have labour with the half baked, make it up as we go along policy, we have reform and the Tories taking a more right wing approach. So come local elections, we are being left with the risk of very few actual choices, esp given the Tory green policies (or lack of).

Never heard of ladybird, maybe rather than developing a host of alternative browsers, the developers should get together and just build one. I know there is waterfox, brave and several others, I can't keep up and no one has ever heard of most of them.
