When the bosses say there's a "labor shortage," it is a lie.
The truth, as @RBReich@twitter.com outlines, is this: We face a shortage of good, permanent jobs where workers are fully valued for their work with strong union protections, and safe and healthy workplaces!

Internet prick, borderline noncery
This idiot needs to be stopped, he has a huge influence on teen boys, so they will see his behaviour and copy, if he gets away with it, they will know they can copy and get away with it too.
What I would like to know is what the hell are these platform moderators doing tp allow him to fester for so long with this, oh yea nothing as he generates huge profits.
In a world ruled Big Entertainment and #BigTech, giving artists more #copyright is like giving bullied kids more lunch money - no matter how much lunch money you hand out, the kids are still going hungry. We have to neutralize the bully:

UPDATE:
A solution to the authentication issue will ship with version 102.7.1, releasing during the week of January 23.
Version 102.7.0 is now available for MANUAL download only, to allow unaffected users to choose to update and benefit from the fixes it delivers (https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/102.7.0/releasenotes/)
Please note that automatic updates are currently disabled, and users of Microsoft 365 Business are cautioned to not update.
Today I realised that my orcid page missed my most recent works. I went to my university academic repo, clicked on the recent entries, chose "export to orcid", and that was it. They appeared immediately on my orcid profile.
It took me literally 30 seconds, and now I want to invest the time spared to write this toot. Thank you to the people who designed that feature. #academia

That poor dog somehow got herself covered with dihydrogen monoxide. We have to hurry back home and get her decontaminated.
@zhivi @BlackMastodon I grew up in Nigeria but have lived in the US most of my life. I love Black music, dance, the amazing variety of ways we can style our hair (yay Sisterlocks!), the fact that we tend to look younger than we are, a reverence for those who are older, the sense of joy and purpose we bring to creating distinctive culture that I’ve seen wherever we are (US, Brazil, Jamaica, etc.), HBCUs.
'How you could build a search that the fediverse would welcome' by @anildash is such a good and thoughtful read. Really impressed to see so much good writing lately about the #fediverse and how to move this weird project of ours forward! :undefined::undefined: :undefined:

Why some people can't tell left from right
It can seem like an almost childish mistake, but a surprising number of adults confuse left from right and scientists are only just starting to understand why.

"Left-right discrimination is actually quite a complex process, calling upon memory, language, visual and spatial processing, and mental rotation."
