What we need is for the shooters to survive, so they then HAVE to answer for their acts and explain. Perhaps we will then learn motivation for these acts and start putting in early help for people so they don't build up hatred and this festers till they explode.

People are not born killers, the shooter was apparently abandoned by her / his parents, so this at an early age would have a very negative effect on mental health alone (ok not trying to justify)

Perhaps if they survive it is the LAST thing they want, so then keeping them alive even in prison would give them the opposite to what they seek.

From the report, the last message sent said that the shooter would be famous as something tragic would happen. Perhaps we need to 'cancel' these shooters, in the sense that end up just being branded a shooter, no name, no history nothing so people never remember who they were BUT do remember all the victims, that would deny them a place in the history books.

So sort of reverse psychology, expect to die, kept alive, looking to go down in history, denied.

After Sandy Hook there was a conspiracy theory that it was all made up, this (as expected) was spread online by people who for whatever reason believed this despite the footage of the aftermath with the giref of all those family members plain to see.

Perhaps showing the report and video is also designed to be a pre-emptive against any conspiracy theorists who may jump on this too, in order to gain social media likes, spread lies to their, LOW IQ followers. I use Low IQ as I can't think of how else to describe people who fall for conspiracy theorists, I sometimes refer to Facebook as Retardbook for a reason.

Another reason could be to report what happened, perhaps in the vain hope that the US may actually wake up and do something, even though we know nothing wil happen and in a few days there will be more mass shootings, then more and more again.

RIP to the victims, and condolences to their families / colleagues.

Ok I am not an expert, but a few thoughts

1. Birds for example, like Strawberries, so perhaps the ants want to protect them, covered in sand they are less visible, probably taste bad mixed with the sand too.
2. Perhaps the sand acts to protect from the sun (drying out)
3. Protect or even preserve them
4. Are ants able to secrete chemicals that will preserve or protect food
5. Does sand also contain salt?, esp if near the coast, salt is a preservative.

Prediction: This is based on what I am reading on here as to what is going on at the moment, these are not JUST posts as many are citing / linking to external evidence.

The fact that the TN school shooter was Trans will be jumped on by the republicans and used to justify their hate further.

Twitter can no longer keep people safe, insiders seem to have admitted that. So by staying on the platform you are either doing so at your own risk, doing so to help report issues (no issue with that) or staying there as you are part of the new wave of users on there who want to abuse others (again if it keeps you off fedi, then fine).

Danger is everyone will at some point be tainted with the same brush, reputations could be seriously damaged by being on Twitter.

Perhaps it is this last point that is really scary as the rest of the world needs to know what is going on from an independent, objective viewpoint.

Great if we can do this in HTML5, I think would be happy with both, what we perhaps need to think about is the ages of users and managing expectations, however we have all age groups here on Mastodon, so it may need some research on the issue at hand.

I think we are moving in the right direction, I think peertube does need some UI tweaks, so for example upload multiple videos (ideally drag & drop) and set some standard text for each. So I can upload a set of vidoes of a football team training, they need the same info, titles,tags and info anyway.

If I understand things drag & Drop needs perhaps non-free components to work (which is fine if we can't do that) but perhaps upload videos but then be able to also upload or edit all video info at the same time.

Limit how many you can upload at a time, either number or total size to reduce network load (Or what ever may cause issues).
