Is there any evidence that if the Biden administration changed the policy on Israel to maintain support but to stop arming the country and seek peace, that this will turn Jewish voters away. There does seem to be a consenus among jews they don't support what isreal is doing, so on that basis stopping arming israel they won't lose that voter support, but it may sway Muslim voters towards Biden / Harris?
Just asking
When educating about online safety etc we need to mention both mainstream social media AND the fediverse so we can discuss both, but perhaps as part of Computing we could ask the question where is the future, is the future with centralsation and big tech using your photos / text to train AI without your direct consent or is the future with fedi, small web where we as users are back in control, or can you as you. Open discussion on how tech is being used (and abused) is going to be important.
I agree with this, we also need to be less prudish about nudity, perhaps if we were we would not have the situation where kids learning about sex from porn sites, and they may actually learn more respect for each other.
Also learn all bodies are different and we should be comfortable with what we have and respect others too.
Ohh, that is interesting it reminds me of a talk by the space telescope science institute where they were making astronomy more accessible with a sonification project, this would scan a photo of a sky object and translate it in to different sounds depending on what object(s) were in the photo.
I think they made the software available to use

While I agree with this law, there has to be exceptions where there has been a major disaster and people are needed, bad weather is predicted, so extra staff can be put on standby, but if there was a massive car crash on a motorway (highway / freeway) then extra staff may have to be drafted in, granted in those situations people will probably go in to work anyway to help, as they are medics and want to save lives.
However these situations are rare, so would not happen very often, perhaps to add to the above example people should be recognised for going above and beyond in some way,
In terms of working in other work places, if there was a serious issue cropped up for example security breach, or fire in the office, then perhaps the boss would need to contact all employees to update them on the situation. So again in that situation, it would be different.
Indeed, they will still play here even if you doubled their tax. Of course, many do undertake charity work and this should be factored in to the tax bill perhaps
I agree with that
@ChrisMayLA6 @zleap the other obvious tax gaps is that National Insurance is capped at 2% above £50,270/year whereas most of us in employment pay 8% (0% under £12,570/year).
Also the tapered withdrawal of the basic tax allowance between £100,000/year and £125,140/year is entirely anomalous and would be better replaced by adjustment to the thresholds and rates.
And of course the tapered withdrawal of child benefits if one of their parents earns between £60,000/year and £80,000/year.
Hopefully the decline will continue
Oh dear. Musk’s colossal X gamble is turning to financial disaster https://eastangliabylines.co.uk/news/world/musks-colossal-x-gamble-is-turning-to-financial-disaster/
If I get those income tax bands, the highest is something like 125k a year, but the average football player earns far more than that a week.
We really need tax thresholds somewhere around 128 k per week, so even things up perhaps. Or several million a year, same goes for NI thresholds too.
South Australia was hotter on this late winter day than it normally gets in the middle of summer.
