Given Musks plan for Mars, perhaps this needs to apply to other planets, as NASA et al want to explore planets to better our understanding and to benefit all humans, Musk sees Mars as his to colonize which it is not, we need to learn from colonialism not repeat the same mistakes and just treat Mars as if it is for the few to exploit for profit.

I am aware the UK dailyfail is full of garbage and crappy lazy journalism, but they are taking some things quite far.

Apparently there have been unexplained drone sightings over the USA, mostly in New Jersey and now California.

No one else of course is running these stories

I just wondered if anyone knows what is actually going on here please?

@BodyofBreen

Could UK news agencies ask our politicians the same thing and if there will be changes to visa rules to perhaps bar people who have NOT been vaccinated against some of the more transmittable conditions viruses can prevent (unless there is a good medical reason not to)

There are some countries where you HAVE to be vaccinated in order to be allowed entry.

From what I understand their 'person of the year' is someone who has made headlines more often, could be for good or bad reasons but they have hit the headlines I am surprised Netenyahu is not on that list, (maybe next year)

I guess it may be people who have done significant things to changed the world, or a course or path that was being taken, for example I think Stalin in 1939 was neutral, by the time we got to 1942, Hitler had decared war on Russia, who by entering the war, changed the course for the better (at least in terms of the allies)

It is frustrating to see academic scientists arguing over issues like preprints vs. journals at the same time that a tsunami of anti-science misinformation is sweeping the country.

Shouldn’t we be talking about robust & effective means of disseminating our work out to the general public?

@ChrisMayLA6

You notice this when you have both volunteer and paid employment on your CV, employers seem to disregard volunteer work, even if that volunteer work is more related to the role you are applying for. Indeed job site seems to do this, so any volunteer workis given less presidence over paid work, this really can hold people back.

Surely any troops would be under a UN banner and not a NATO banner.
