I agree and to do this right before their offensive which we know civilians are going to get caught up in the cross fire.
I agree, they get funding to do something like this, so do a course, get a cert, they get paid, regardless of how good or useful the course is or if there are any actual jobs.
Meanwhile it seems there is a major shortage of skills in the building industry and lots of jobs people with those skills will fill.

Free AI training for adults in region's growth plans
One of the reasons I'm so skeptical of AI getting shoved into everything is that it is not forward-looking, it's just reinforcing all of the bad systems and processes we already have. It's not just that I miss a past, pre-AI world (though I do), it's that when I think of a genuinely better future, it mostly involves ripping out the systems that AI is trying its hardest to perpetuate.
AI is not the future, it's the present, repeated endlessly.
Perhaps in the light of these protests, the rise in shoplifting (not connected) and the fact that a shopkeeper was told to take down a poster calling shoplifters scumbags, as it may cause offense, shopkeepers could take teh following approach
1. Find some palestine action flags, and make one side sticky with glue
2. Talk to shoplifter nicely (we don't want to up set them or hurt feelings)
3. Congratulate said shoplifter by saying well done mate, and slap the flag on their back (unknown to them)
4. Let them free
5. Report to police
They would then be arested, not for shoplifting but for having a PA flag, said person goes to jail, and it would reduce number of shoplifters on the street.
The police won't arrest them any other way.
If this works, repeat for other offenses.
Agreed, lets all work together and share how to stop meta tracking what they are doing to us, if we need to upload robots.txt ( I guess to the root of a website) then lets make sure that is the best one possible.
While that is the case, I think a lot of people now would be appalled at what does happen under the hood, esp with windows 11. As you said a lot of people just want to use their computer for the task in hand. Do they want to pay the privacy and other prices to get there.
When discussing the future of a country that is at war, it does make sense to invite them to talks even with those who they are at war with.
Not just presidents, I think back then people were more accountable and could and would be punished for a wide range of offenses, then the do-gooder brigade came along and tried to make excuses for people and the rot set in from then on.
My teacher at school said numerous times, "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime", we were expected to behave properly and faced consequences if we did not. I was in year 6 at the time so last year of primary.
Hopefully it will be over turned, as while the police are busy arrestingj people like this, there seems to be a huge shoplifting epidemic, phone thefts (snatchig) and other crimes being undertaken with impunity,

@Endof10 I've seen too many "mainstream tech news outlets" trying to prey on Windows 10 holdoits by trying to get them to buy new hardware.
I've got a better idea than replacing your Windows 10 PC (if it still works for you): Install Linux and keep enjoying your laptop, just without Microsoft's adware and spyware.
This is a crap article and a prime example of preying on less tech liteate users: https://www.windowscentral.com/hardware/laptops/best-windows-11-laptops-replace-windows-10-pc

Because thanks to media etc Google is a byword for search, so you get nonsense terms such as I will google for the answer, rather than I will search for the answer.
It means other search engines don't get a mention.
I agree, when I was a teen, I had a chem set, a vast majority of my experiments were written down with results, If I do any homr chemistry I note down the results.
If people are not doing this at professional level we are well and truly stuffed as standards are slipping massively.
