Indeed,.
Indeed,.
I can think of a good many issues with this.,
Hi journalists! Before I start targeted emails to journalists I've talked to before, I'm just going to put this out here and see if it works:
Now that Reflect Orbital https://www.reflectorbital.com/ has officially filed to launch their first satellite, does anyone want to write an article about what a stupid, useless, potentially destructive and harmful idea this is? I would be happy to be interviewed about all the ways this is a very very bad idea and why I'm absolutely livid that they're launching.
As you would expect there is a LOT of misinformation out there, mostly on main stream social media, I think this is attributed to the vaccum left by lack of actual information.
According to the standard, migrants are given £40.85 a week to live on, this is 1/2 what people on some benefits get.
So I am not sure where the idea they get Full benefits, free healthcare, phones and everything else, and that the hotels are somehow luxurious, etc etc comes from, but the government surely need to do a better job of relaying actual information, granted those who want to read and take on board will, those that don't will, but at least it will give the former group something to cite in any counter arguments.
Indeed, lets hope that the cuts made by RFJ-Jr are not going to hold all this back.
You have done your Mom proud,
People seem to not be able to tell the difference between Palestine as a state, the people of palestine (who have been there a long long time) and those who run palestine (HAMAS) who have been proscribed as a terrorist group.
If there are elments within Palestine Action who support HAMAS then the whole group gets a bad name, there has to be a consistent message and condemnation of Oct 7 but also the actions of the IDF.
The fact Benjamin Netanyahu has an arrest warrant against him for war crimes never seems to be taken in to account. So probably argue if the UK government can support a wanted war criminal, then people are free to support Terrorist groups such as Hamas.
I think Britain has stopped supplying arms, as has germany and other countries, things are changing thanks to coverage and the horrific images coming from Gaza.
Meanwhile the UK government are on Summer recess.
I am fine with what you just said here, i commented from the view point of living in an area that is dependent on good weather for tourism which is bound to the local economy.
I also agree about not using certain words here, global warming suggests it is going to get warmer only, where as using terms such as climate change or maybe we need to use catastropic climate change, is to me a far better description of what we face.
Reading the comments in the dailyfail on this, shows a trend where people don't trust science, don't believe science as what is predicted never comes true or scientists are constantly changingj their predictions, or a scientist will say food x is bad for you, then a week later another study comes out with the contrary, Social meaia has a hell of a lot to answer on this, and Ai is not going to help either esp if it scrapes actual science along side total nonsense and stores it in a single learning model data.
So people don't get the science, let alone the scientific process of refining our ideas constantly based on new evidence.
Saying that T coronia Borealis was meant to go Nova this time last year and nothing has happened yet.
The issue is more than about nice weather, living by the coast, people rely on good weather for toursts and holiday makers staying and importantly spending money in the area, if the weather is good, people are out and about, especially on the beach, a week later more people are doing doing the same.
If we have a wet spring and easter break, this impacts where people choose to go for their summer break, so this could be overseas. So areas like where I am suffer.
Nice hot weather is make or break for many.
So people then see climate change as in warmer weather as a 'good' thing as it helps economically.
I am not sure how those locally running a business think about climate change, some are struggling to survive on a day-to-day basis with ever rising costs and narrower margins, now thanks to labour higher wage costs and higher employer national insurance contributions just add to all this.
The thing is, when the climate does collapse everything could end up going pear shaped very quickly and the impact economically will be catastropic.
Another reason to have Universal basic income as a proper safety net.
This is why I have SERIOUS concerns regarding privacy, data protection and safeguarding concerns with this enabled, Schools use a system called CPOMS to report concerns in schools, this information is confidential and is usually very sensitive information (a disclosure from a child for example) all this recorded.
if while using MS recall decides to snap shot the page with identifiable information on it can have SERIOUS Implications for everyone involved.
The Register took a look at Microsoft Recall and found it captured personal information, such as social security numbers and such in its database.
They also found they could access it remotely using TeamViewer, using just a PIN.

I think could have more to do with the word genocide being passed around and people are panicking that they will have a finger pointed directly at THEM if any of thise comes to court in the Hague or other places.
If they wanted to do the 'right thing' they would have done this months ago surely.

Given reports about the reading ability of US students should people (as in powers that be) not be more worried about schools teaching reading and reading comprehension, rather than trying to fix something that does not need fixing.
Most children and young people will accept each other just fine, it is the adults around them that cause all these problems.
It was £20 billion when Labour took over, maybe Reeves needs a bigger abacus or one of those large size promo postage stamps to do the calculations on.
