The Palestine Red Crescent Society has reported that it has retrieved the body of prisoner Ayman Rajih Abed from the Salem military checkpoint.

At the Jenin Government Hospital, doctors noted that his body was still wearing handcuffs and showed clear signs of torture, according to hospital director Wissam Bakr.

Doctors confirmed that there were visible marks of severe beatings, indicating that he had been tortured to death.

Israeli army forces raided Tulkarem city on Monday and laid a siege around hospitals there amid a military operation in the northern West Bank, according to witnesses.

Military forces backed by bulldozers moved into the city’s refugee camp and surrounded several hospitals inside amid an exchange of fire with armed Palestinians, the witnesses said.

At least 30 Palestinians have been killed since the offensive began.
