To have a viral post on Mastodon is to be confronted with a long series of people asking the exact same question or providing the same “well actually” response, for days, because of the limits of federation. They simply can’t see those other replies. Sometimes they see *no* ofher replies, if they’re on a tiny server.
The experience isn’t great! As with customer service, it can be hard to remember that this isn’t actually the same person over and over again.

The physics suggest that a carbon capture technology that uses the ocean might be the only way to make carbon capture economical. There's just much more CO2 per liter of water than per liter of air, and ocean surface is an enormous, effective atmospheric CO2 capture mechanism. You get all that toxic positivity PLUS various suggestions implying your feelings are probably PMS and will self-resolve within a few days anyway, so just weather your “bad mood” with some “self-care” and chocolate, gaslight any of your unhappy thoughts so you don’t bring anyone down or irrationally take it out on anyone, and before ya know it you’ll bounce back and realize you were making a big deal out of nothing!

Anti trans laws
You don’t have to be a trans ally to recognize how horrible a state-forced transition would be. Imagine how horrified you would feel if your body now were slowly changing into the wrong gender from being pumped full of the wrong chemicals, and you were forbidden to do anything to stop it. Doctors that could help you turn away.
Would it help any to know that your own glands were the source of the chemicals? I can’t imagine that would make me feel one bit better!
