@eqyo Not a fan of Gabber? We don't know each other but we have similar interests. I'm a Mathematician among other things. An American, active in Comp Sci, 30 and interests including extreme sports.

New on mastodon, time for an !
I'm eqyo from the Netherlands 🇳🇱, I'm in my twenties and studying & . I am also: a semi-agnostic churchgoer ⛪, not exactly straight but still figuring things out 🏳️‍🌈, and very much into 🎻.
(Expect the frequency of emojis and hashtags to drop drastically after this post)
I see myself posting about my life, about & , maybe about some -related stuff...

I accidentally ate peanuts that were in my food so I might have another reaction. The good news is that I will know if I am allergic to peanuts or if it was something else.

In my most recent project I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. Sometimes feeling completely lost is an indication that one is soon to learn a large amount.

Progress on the project has slowed down. I have more pressing issues that I really need to deal with.

@PawelK Data Science and Analytics being the back up? Those are two very important areas. You might find that they will give you more useful skill sets than research. Job stability and good pay are the two other benefits that the other jobs won't have.

@PawelK I am currently unemployed. All of my research has been on my own time and using equipment I had to buy. My situation has changed quite a lot.

@PawelK The CPU+FPGA that is coming is going to be fun to reverse.

@PawelK They will always be a target for organizations with the right tools.

@lupyuen So the history of C and C++ interaction might not be up for discussion today.

This wifi stack port has been going better than I expected. The ESP32 port and BL602 port are progressing. The existing source of each is helping the other.
I was worried about compliance and radio emissions from my ports but I've found that the radio hardware is quite similar fundamentally. The workload is getting heavier but it's getting closer to the end.
I will be sad when the BL602 is mostly finished. This was a long journey and I have learned a lot from getting bullied by a MCU for over a year.

I will try to keep my progress on the ports updated frequently. I might even document the process.

@PawelK When I see OOP I usually think cpp. Btw it's been an odd evolution of C and Cpp.

@PawelK Freeing hardware from oppressive firmware. My day job is usually working on heavy equipment or fixing electronics.
