Hi! I'm an undergrad in electrical engineering looking to do research in . My long term goals are to make robotic and to make a robot that goes to space! I like any topics from STEM and have an addiction to getting books. Currently in the planning phase of my first personal robotics project making a nerf turret to mess with my siblings to learn about , and . I'll try to post updates! I've also never used a twitter kind of social media so I just put hashtags places that feel relevant!

Hello, I'm an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering @ Kuwait University, interested in #robotics #mechatronics and Applied Estimation and #control. Previously worked on all things drones. Now working on #fluids #CFD and #modeling from high fidelity simulations, among other interests in education, innovation, and sustainable living. I use #julialang whenever possible and believe in its future in #engineering education.

#introduction

I'm an #automation and #fermentation engineer based in the SF Bay Area.

I'm interested in microbes of all kinds, and especially how we can work with them to meet human needs.

In my day job, I work in #biomanufacturing, focusing on #robotics and #bioreactors. I figure that #microbiology can do amazing things, and #robots and #software are the best tools we have to talk to it.

I'm big on #OpenSource and #diybio. Yes, I would love to collaborate on a cool bio project with you!

#introduction Hello Mastodonians. I'm Greg. Like many residing here om , I'm into #amateurradio. I mostly play in the HF spectrum and prefer #QRP operation while #hiking, #backpacking or wilderness #canoeing.

By day, I'm a #robotics instructor for an industrial robotics company.

I like #FountainPens and #falconry.
I was a dog in a previous life.

Hello,

I am a neuroscientist studying how specific regions in the brain are vulnerable to Alzheimer's disease (). We are mainly interested in the neurons of entorhinal cortex and hippocampal since they are affected early in AD and important for memory. We use in vivo electrophysiology to understand the population dynamics of neurons affected by amyloid beta and tau pathologies. More recently, we've been interested in how locus coeruleus pathology impacts downstream regions.
Was awesome meeting so many fellow scientists at the meeting

@brandonb_phy - Thank you! My 3D printing process is mostly done. I’ve carried out a few test captures already, but still tracking down a few software bugs. Hopefully it will work well soon! It’s definitely cool stuff!

@freemo Only been here a short while so far, but it feels nice to see the interesting STEM related stuff here and inclusion. Honestly haven’t come across anyone bigoted on this server either. I understand the desire to not platform bigoted people, though blanket bans don’t seem to solve anything either

Today's good news was a software engineer in my lab found an accidental memory allocation in our real-time video analysis code, and now 99.99% (up from 98%) of the time it runs as fast as we thought it should when we did a back-of-the-envelope calculation way back when. I like when computers behave as I expected them to.

is going to produce a lot of science not only about the , but , and even a little bit of help for people living on .

I recently wrote about 10 passengers and payloads, some flying on the spacecraft for purposes and others carrying a wide variety of in right now.

Since the vote was 13-2 in favor of mojito, and I am a believer in democracy, here is proof of mojito. I will attempt not to work tomorrow and Saturday.

@brandonb_phy - I hope to do this a week or two! I’m setting everything up for my project!

Finally, after a year of procrastinating, I got my receiver working. Here is a full color of the earth at 22Z that I pulled right off GOES 16! :)

This is my University of Hawai‘i Cancer Center lab's latest project, a for all & past-5-yr cancer (age 18+) in the U.S. COMPLETELY anonymous (no IP addresses or PII collected). Please share: bit.ly/uhccsurvey

It is so pleasant to read through a timeline of updates from accounts I've chosen, without a sponsored or recommended post in every other slot. Feels like back when the whole social media thing was still more social than commercial, when I was still young and optimistic

:catblush: I know it's soooo bad what Elon did to Twitter, really.

But I've been running this server for over 3 years now to flee Twitter and somehow it feels things are falling into place...

I have met such amazing and wonderful people here on the Fediverse that I consider my true friends no matter where they live❤️

The only thing I want is for you to have the same and here you have a chance do that just that!

It looks like another surge of twitter users might be on the way... One user just mentioned some drama over at twitter with musk locking out employees. I looked at the users bot (see attached quote) and youll notice a distinctive spike starting to form off to the right... here we go
