@pony Probably something like this:
1. load OSM data into a PostGIS DB
2. `SELECT geometry FROM db WHERE ST_INTERSECTS(geometry, ST_BUFFER($poland, 10km))`

You get the idea.

@pony Connected directly to Intertubes. That's a tough job there. What else did you expect?

@pony Why? To me it looks like a temporary bridge in place until a proper 2-rail lines structure is built to the right of it. I would then expect it to be dismantled and the thing rerouted straight.

But of course I am not a civil engineer, so what do I know... But you seem to be properly into railways, so I am curious why this looks silly to you.

@trinsec interesting. I did not know such stuff exists either. But then, I use paper for all that. Specifically I am into old open envelopes which come to be from places (including Belastingdienst, those are harder to read in the dark :-D ), so I basically have a continuous supply of scrap paper.

@pony Although in this case, what could have been the insecurity about?

Maybe like this:
A: what's that hole there?
B: an underpass, can't you see?
A: let's be explicit about it

Or more like this:
A: there's some empty space above that hole in the wall
B: we should put something there. Like lights or so.
A: Good idea. So what shall we write there?
B: Dunno. How about some filler. Like "UNDERPASS"

😄

@pony You are right. To stress the obvious is almost always a sign of some insecurity. Like in "computer _science_" where we are just not sure whether it is a real _science_ so we better prevent that discussion from happening by naming the thing "properly". 😄

@trinsec I see. MS Surface/iPad then. A bit too expensive for a sketchbook, though :-).

I hope you start doing the thing. 🤍

This one's for the lonely, the one's that seek and find
Only to be let down time after time
This one's for the torn down, the experts at the fall
Come on friends, get up now, you're not alone at all

This one's for the faithless, the ones that are surprised
They're only where they are now regardless of their fight
This one's for believing if only for it's sake
Come on friends get up now love is to be made

This is for the ones who stand
For the ones who try again
For the ones who need a hand
For the ones who think they can

It comes and goes in waves, I
Am only led to wonder why
It comes in goes in waves, I
Am only led to wonder why
Why I, why I try

@mathias Wow! I didn't know something like that can be done. She's doing like 37 different things at the same time while not losing track of herself along the way. Me playing piano, I have enough to do with just keeping track of my two hands on one instrument and am failing in doing that more often than not. What she's doing there is really extraordinary.

And also I never saw an instrument like that she's using for those electric guitar sounds.

Thanks for the pointer. I learned something today...
