Hi! Excited to join this decentralized social network. I am currently doing my Master's in Production Engineering.

I am a nerd. I love everything and anything about Math. Apart from that I like and follow .

I like to talk about and Music too!

I don't buy a christmas tree as I don't want to contribute to cutting down trees. Let those trees stand instead of cutting them down only to place them in your home for a few weeks.

For fun: implementation of Quantum Key Distribution (#QKD) in #OpenSSL brunorijsman.github.io/openssl

Mandatory #quantum joke: with this patch, OpenSSL both has security bugs and has not.

On my way to for that amazing conference at the . Delayed due to the strike but still feeling solidary with those striking.

Das habe ich mir genau so vorgestellt:

No matter which social network you're on, following a diverse group of people helps you taking a peek at the other side of your personal filter bubble.

You don't have to agree with everything and everyone, but please, at least try to listen to people and their opinions.

It will help you appreciate your own life, and may just make you a little wiser.

What is sadness?
This strange feeling between happiness and despair, an island in an ocean of emotions, being surrounded by amazing people yet feeling strangely alone. It is a part of life and allows for a lot of reflection and for getting to know yourself better. Yet you can mistake it for depression and anxiety.

I truly support @c0c0bird project e-waste-study - a questionnaire about how you deal with electronic waste. This will take place at .

A Mathematician's Way* of Converting Miles to Kilometers

• 1 mi ≈ 1.609 km

• The ratio of consecutive Fibonacci numbers Fₙ₊₁/Fₙ tends to the golden ratio φ ≈ 1.618 as n increases

So Fₙ mi ≈ Fₙ₊₁ km

*This is how I do it 😅

I've heard people suggest letting students try their hand at a typical problem on the first day of class. Should it be one easy enough for them to tackle or one challenging enough to demonstrate the complexity of the subject? Any suggestions for an algorithms class?

[en] There will be projects and sessions during #cccamp19 on alternatives to the fossil-fuel generated electricity. Project Microgrid tries to build an independent power grid with solar. Bring equipment to participate! Reminder: no “guerilla solar”; respect grid security and the volunteers working on the fossil-fuel generated grid, and do not feed your electricity back. Here is a list of the alternative power projects at camp to get you started: events.ccc.de/camp/2019/wiki/V #solarpunk
