I'm interested in being just not civil, but excellent in interacting with others of different viewpoints in an online world where we can so viciously defend our echo chambers and be so dismissive of other perspectives.
Because this is less and less possible here, I'm largely offline and am not sure if I'll be returning. It was fun back when civility was a trend on qoto.

Wow! Great Atlantic article about a study showing the social media view of the clean cut political divide in the US is inaccurate. The majority have so much to agree on. CW for length of a few quotes from the article.

I know Trump drama is in the news as if he's literally Hitler; meanwhile a communist government is ratcheting up a crackdown on Christians, Muslims, and other religious citizens, demanding loyalty to the ruling party alone.
Looking through old toots now, and noticing more news stories of China 's government b teaching dangerous lies about Christianity and tracking who in what cities are Christians. What could go wrong?

It's increasingly seeming as if the problems brought with Trump aren't problems (just hysteria for news viewership) or weren't brought with Trump.

Let me know if I'm off track here.
I'm an advocate of adoption, when necessary (and not a fan when not necessary, and I'm a fan of helping it not be necessary). Sometimes a family will have an arrangement with a pregnant mother who is not able/willing to care for her baby, and they assisted with living and medical expenses during the pregnancy.
In this situation, the baby is already conceived, reproduction has already happened, and people are making decisions about what they believe is in the best interest of the child and other parties involved.
But in your scenarios, the decision isn't being made about already conceived babies, but about conceiving them. That seems to cross a different line that I'm...more hesitant about crossing.
Do you object to any/every ...other-than-natural means of conception and child bearing? Or is this specifically about this parties who choose/are chosen to be involved in these ways?
