I see the main news sources as not much more than spokespeople for some of the largest corporations in the world. I only see news broadcasts occasionally at a restaurant, hotel, or airport.

When I do it seems like.... narrative spinning rather than news coverage, and CNN seems as far left as fox News seems right. But I know I'm only seeing a snapshot and likely seeing admitted commentators rather than professed news coverage.

I don't judge the people badly based on their hair or skin color, but instead I judge them badly because they're in the job they're in. :)

Evidently there's not an easy source for photos if who is actually an anchor. I don't have cable TV so never watch any of the networks, but here's what a quick web search shows. Not quite the same, but not sure who is /isn't an anchor vs opinion vs commentator.

Ha. Well, my understanding is that marathons are mile based whereas shorter runa than a half marathon are km based... 5k/10ks for example. So I think he could go either way.

My approach is something like...

Use discernment and have humility.

Always consider and evaluate against what you know from scripture, but also know that you're one Christian in the middle of the church age, with thousands of years of millions of Christians using their discernment. Everyone is likely to have some incorrect beliefs, including you. So have grace with others and primarily try to glean the good rather than point out error. We all have our own errors that are invisible to ourselves.

I think there are few primarily issues in theology, and that's where the problems are that need to be addressed, particularly if they're being pushed /taught /promoted. Both Paul and John called out other church leaders publicly in the Bible. But they didn't call out every thing that every person was getting wrong.

Not sure if this directly relates to what you were going for, but just some thoughts.

Running is easier for me than getting out the door to start a run. I got 14.2 miles in today at freezing temperatures in Denver. Feeling great being done.
