My toot was primarily a somewhat sarcastic critique of that kind of overly specific, easily disproven prediction that frequently get made to rally/alarm the public,and draw a contrast between that and reality.

(There was an article I saw shared on the fediverse toward the end of 2019 with that claim, though I haven't been able to find it on checking briefly today.)

I was told that we'd have no snow after the new year due to climate change.

All schools closed due to snow.

I'm an Adoptive dad and am disappointed that this is not something that more people (especially Christians and especially men) aren't eager to embrace the challenge. I'm not sure that tweaks to a governmental program will change that.

It does seem that his opposition uses tactics that result in his approval levels going up, or at least don't fully suppress his approval totally, even if the approval is for other factors like the thriving econometrics, etc.
