Anyone else impressed that air traffic controllers have been working from home and may accept the package rather than return to work?
Or maybe we're lacking some application of critical thinking...
@dailypost @realcaseyrollins i can't find a source for this. Is this real?
Donald Trump has offered buyout packages to almost all federal workers who do not want to return to the office, a major move designed to shrink the US government. The employees would have to decide by 6 Feb whether they wanted to be part of a "deferred resignation program" with an 8 months worth severance package

@realcaseyrollins Opposing "immigration" or opposing "illegal immigration"?
There is a difference and I don't know of any politician who opposes all immigration.
@chriscorrigan I've seen a few posts about this but don't know the background. What do people mean by "empathy" that is the problem? Your post is presenting empathy and love as the same thing. Is that what you mean and what someone out there doesn't mean by the two words?
@medigoth Well now you've got me searching for this phrase and concept.
From what I'm seeing here initially, is a focus on the difference between
- empathy (feeling the distressed feelings of someone else) vs
- sympathy (feeling for someone in distress) and
- compassion (actions taken to help someone out of distress).
...with a value statement from bad to good in sources advocating for "the sin of empathy" view. A focus on my own feelings matching your feelings is unhelpful or even bad. Acting to help you out of distress is good. And feeling bad for you is somewhere in the middle - tied to emotions and potentially driving the action.
Am I getting the gist or missing the emphasis due to only looking at this for a few minutes?
@levisan I've actually been wondering the same. Any rooms to book 11 months out from now?
#PreEmptive #Pardons phenomenon examined by #Democrats & the mainstream media.
They seem to have come to a concensus on the issue, no question about it.
@steele your media sources are showing
@Dan_Ramos this is what comes to mind any time anyone (Republican, Democrat, or other) says we need a lower class of people (currently they say undocumented migrants) to work jobs for less than what free citizens would work for.
@JesseStone here in #Denver, we've already had budget cuts for citizen services, like police, trash service, sidewalk repairs, so our taxes are reallocated to the homeless and newcomers, which naturally attracts more homeless and non legal migrants.
Our mayor is telling us to brace for more budget constraints as he stages a civil war against Trump.
Real question: if our city executive branch leadership says they can act in direct opposition of the laws that apply to them... And that their priority is to help those who are in violation of those laws... .is there any argument left that the citizens should have to obey the city laws that we have our own moral opposition to?
@gatewaypundit_official what a deceptive headline. Insert "MAGA" , as if Musk said it, purely for clickbait purposes.
I'm interested in being just not civil, but excellent in interacting with others of different viewpoints in an online world where we can so viciously defend our echo chambers and be so dismissive of other perspectives.
