Imagine if people weren't told how to think about the news.

Black family survived centuries of slavery & generations of Jim Crow, but disintegrated in wake of liberals' expansion of the welfare state. Most black children grew up in homes with 2 parents during all that time but most grow up with only 1 parent today

@awl yup.. americans arent really critical thinkers anymore. Pretty much I expected the left to cheer on anything that came out ofBLM no matter how asinine.

Dont get me wrong I have nothing against BLM's message of "blacks are suffering, help us".. but as a strongly left leaning organizations that have all the failings of anyone on the extream end of the politicl spectrum. Namely group think, complete inability to accept messages outside of their own agenda and talking points, and overly simplistic "solutions" that get us no where.

@realcaseyrollins instilling fear into kids makes them much more likely to be victims. teach kids to be brave and to know wrong from right. that's the greatest thing you can do.

Stop telling your kids they're gonna die cuz they're black and making them cry so you can make a video to put on social media for social justice warrior points.

I'm not a Democrat, nor am I a Republican. I don't think it was a good move for most Blacks to wed a party.

In that part, you're preaching to the choir. I have criticized the leaders of Black orgs when they don't cry out when someone in another ethnic group is persecuted or attacked by Blacks. (Gotten lots of "Oreo" and similar replies, too.)

But we don't get to "not treated differently" by pretending it isn't happening. You have to acknowledge the behavior that you want to change, because those who are behaving that way often won't change without pressure.
