I wrote a while ago about how I switched my #garden from typical #permaculture elements to a more rational and classic food production system.
I think it's working out really, really great. This are the latest pictures, blog post to come in a little while.
I am experimenting with very closed space dense planting, little mulch (most of organic goes to compost) and yeah, I'm digging it. Sometimes double-digging it.
You know, I haven't used social media a lot in my life. I'm starting to think that maybe joining Mastodon was a bad idea.
The people I find myself interacting with are no less toxic than those on Twitter.
I think I'm just going to stick to QOTO and more or less ignore everyone else.

I was thinking about paradoxes and time travel.
Like, what if you went back in time and gave someone, like Albert Einstein, their most famous work.
You just hand the dude everything about relativity he supposedly created before he's created it.
Does that mean General Relativity willed itself into being? Or that the universe gave us that information? Where did it come from in that sort of time travel situation?

I've got a customer here who claims it took him five hours to attach seats to his bar stools.
He's saying it took him FIVE HOURS to attach FOUR SCREWS each to EIGHTEEN BARSTOOLS.
In other words, it took him more than fifteen minutes per stool to sink 4 screws in each seat. No pilot holes needed or anything.

I shouldn't be surprised, but I am a little surprised by some of the outright racism I encountered today on Mastodon.
I mean, I'm on a free speech instance myself, so I'm not afraid of uncomfortable content or conversations. I actually rather enjoy conversations with people I don't agree with- it's a good way to see a wider view of the world.
But, man. Some people are really angry and are somehow finding answers in utter, confusing bullshit.

JUST IN: The Democratic leadership, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has released a statement today condemning Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., for recent tweets that were widely perceived as anti-Semitic for relying on tropes about Jewish money and influence in American politics.
Kind of fucky that 'old Jewish Money controlling the government' is still a thing in 2019.
Ooooh. That's some antisemitism there from a congressperson. Not a good showing for Ms. Omar.
