Good morning Gab followers! I hope you have a good day.
I'm really quite nervous that this election will turn out like the ones before and Bibi will be given a chance to form a coalition.
That dude is a criminal. You don't charge a sitting Prime Minster with crimes if you don't have a slam-dunk case. It would be a net negative outcome for everyone involved- your career would be over.
So, I've voted what is considered 'Center-Left'.
And while other Israelis might crucify me for it, I hope the Arab parties get more seats this go around. Representation for the Arab peoples of Israel is absolutely vital.
In the end, I just want to see Likud out of power. They've become toxic and I don't think they're doing any good for Israel in the long term.
Vote complete. Civic duty done. Did not vote for Bibi, the crook needs to go.

Hi, Qoto! As you know I posted earlier regarding the silencing of the Spinster instance.
I'd like you to know that a Silence is different than a block. A silenced instance will still allow you to follow users on that instance and communicate with them.
However, the instance will not show in your federated timeline.

@Genie@spinster.xyz @alex @freemo @Surasanji That's called an echo chamber. It is kind of the opposite of federation in that you would never hear or see any opinion but your own. I assume there is a place for such things, I just don't personally see the value in it myself as I am for the free and open exchange of ideas. However, if you are looking to build something like that, all that is required is to de-federate all the instances that aren't 100% in agreement with whatever your instance(in general) stance happens to be. There are closed instances that just contain one business or family or whatever and can certainly create that "support group" environment. I don't believe that was the goal of Spinster, though I don't pretend to speak for them.
I would rather see a playground where both the boys and girls could play together and no one has to stay on the pink side or the blue side and play with gender appropriate toys.
Silencing Spinster Instance for all of QOTO, CW for Length
After much discussion among the mod team we've decided to silence the @spinster instance for QOTO users.
We do not take the silencing of an instance to be anything less than totally serious. We have had issues with being silenced and we do not wish to simply ban an instance because they disagree with us.
Abuse and harassment without moderator comment, however, is a different story.
There are many showings of misandry, anti-trans ideologies, and abusive behaviors dressed up in the guise of 'Protecting an Oppressed Class'.
We at QOTO do acknowledge that there are a great many issues facing women in this world, and that indeed the current social structure of society is almost certainly stacked against them, as it is other oppressed and minority groups.
We cannot, however, support an instance that has little to no moderation of it's more extreme elements that cross the lines of understood acceptable behavior on Mastodon.
It is important to note that this is not necessarily a permanent decision. Should Spinster change their moderation stance on their users and begin to better police their instance we will be happy to unsilence and try again to have a relationship with these people who are undoubtedly trying to fight for what they feel is correct.
As I have said before, and will say again:
It isn't what you say that's important, it is how you say it.

Sorry I've been away, was walking around Amsterdam all weekend and configuring a fresh Archlinux install on my Surface Book 2.
Had the basic install working a few days ago but was mostly tweaking and configuring the window managers to be pretty and behave how i like. I got both i3 and qtile working with mostly all the same key bindings. Its pretty cool and looks super sexy.
I try to keep things wireless because my cat likes to chew on thin, small wires.
Just ordered a modmic wireless by Antlion.
I guess I am getting serious about this streaming/gaming recording thing.
The voice sounds in my recording were terrible. I'll need to redo this after the mic I bought arrives.
