@mike
I just received parts made at https://www.shapeways.com and they turned out great.
@mike I've used a lot of these. They are very compact! Just keep in mind the rated life is only 30 mating cycles. Usually they last longer if you are careful.
You can get prefabricated cables to avoid having to find a crimp tool: https://www.molex.com/en-us/part-list/power-and-signal-cable-assemblies?productNameList=PicoBlade&physical.circuitsLoaded=4
I haven't used KiCad (@kicad) in years and KiCad 9 is making me really happy. As a disgruntled Altium user at ${dayjob} it's a breath of fresh air. Fast, capable, seeming decent library approach, and best of all FOSS.
USB-C "Fixer" for Missing CC Pins
We have a few devices missing the 5.1K resistors on the CC pins, which frustratingly don't work with Mac computers or certain smart USB-C power supplies. To solve this, we designed a small adapter that combines our sunken USB socket (https://www.adafruit.com/product/6050) and USB plug breakout (https://www.adafruit.com/product/5978).
@whitequark Saving all those design decisions for someone else
Pretty happy with my #GlasgowInterfaceExplorer. Was able to just plug and play to start working on an I2C device using the scripting feature. Can't wait to have a reason to hack on some custom interfaces too.

I’m happy with my new #pinebookpro ! There is so much to learn but my friend helped me a ton. I loaded and opened #bespokesynth but I don’t know anything about it, just excited that there might be a path to personal creation through others’ honest work.

@namark They sure did. I miss my Thinkpad...
Really enjoying LibreCAD (https://librecad.org). It took about an hour to get used to the UI but after some experimentation I'm efficiently floorplanning my garage! Open source software of this quality always blows me away. #foss #cad
