"_The exact reasons behind the construction of these structures in Genovesa Cave remain elusive. Nevertheless, the chronological constraints posed by the depth of the bridge, coupled with the similar depth at which POS and the coloration mark occur, support the idea of an early human presence on the island by 5600 years B.P. and potentially dating back as far as 6000 years ago._"

"_Over the course of the 1952 campaign Eisenhower made three swings through the South, visiting every state except Mississippi. He cajoled audiences and slammed politics in the capital. At times, he courted controversy. When ‘Dixie’, a pro-Confederate song and relic of the Civil War, was played during a visit to South Carolina, Eisenhower commented: ‘I always stand up when they play that song’, drawing cheers from the crowd._"

"_It shows how negligible the already quite rich people are compared to the richest of the rich – not to mention how big the difference is compared to a German of average wealth. #NASA study tallies carbon emissions from massive Canadian fires

They found that the Canadian fires released more #carbon in five months than Russia or Japan emitted from fossil fuels in all of 2022 (about 480 million and 291 million metric tons, respectively). While the #CarbonDioxide (#CO2) emitted from both #wildfires and #FossilFuel combustion cause extra #warming immediately, there's an important distinction, the scientists noted.
