They do get that dark overtone sometimes, but are very popular, with both locals and tourists traveling in . But if you don't like it, fair.

There are many more delicious sweets there you could choose from.

Those above? They are Pasteis de Nata, Custard tartes, delicious with a good coffee. 😋

Text Editor - a great tool for writing, with less distractions.

@null0x0c@mstdn.social LOL, thank you for mentioning it. Have heard people mentioning it as a great editor too.

Went looking and found it here: notepad-plus-plus.org/

Fist impressions, the graphics on the page are really nice, love the little Chameleon. Will give it a try, TY!

@freemo Made a QOTO Discourse Forum post of the same content as the serialized posts above.

I anyone prefers to read as a Single document, it's here : discourse.qoto.org/t/qoto-mode

@kosame I can relate to it being too small. The flavour is so good, I want it to last more, although a double one is hard on the heart.

so I tend to order a single shot, into a larger cup, extracted with more water. In Portugal, where excellent cofffee is quite common and delicious, it's called an Abatanado.

Sometimes called an 'Americano' in other places, although I don't like the name myself (too many bad coffees in the country).

@shibaprasad It is a shame that this and so many other incidents happen in a country with thousands of years of civilization. 😞

@maison_faim There is a really good documentary about what it was like, how it worked on those days. It's called BBS the Documentary.

We were talking about it in an earlier thread - and I found a copy of it on YT. THere's no DVD for sale atm, so this is a good way to catch it.

It was 5 or 6 parts, this person posted it all in one video.

@maison_faim Just for a month, believe it or not, and I wasn't even much of a user in Twitter. Never liked the short, cryptic or meaningless thingies there.

But I have been an active Forum user for years, and this Fediverse even reminds me of my early days in computing, calling local BBSes via dial up lines and modems.

All separate systems, locally run and administered, but connected so messages could flow, you could even get international messages thru.

Great fun. There was no public, commercial internet service you could buy, early 90s.

@Keeneire Good for you, Keeneire, it's a shame you have this experience of being molested by this person.

Argh. Hope you don't need to use the martial skills, but it's nice to know how if you need to defend yourself.

@maison_faim Should point out that it's not all positive though, perfectionist tendencies being a drag sometimes. And we are kind of lone wolves too, I guess.

But I have been sharing things with you that I had already looked for, so it's easier and faster, that's the truth.

Shameful, and that is after paying admission tickets that are quite pricey. Tsk, tsk tsk... 😞

@maison_faim If you have the name of a twitter account doing that posting, you could look for a bot bringing it here, it's possible it exists.
