@aindri@mastodon.social LOL, thank you!! Saving it.

@Javier Thank you, that's very kind. It was my first time on a solo, self supported, long bike tour. it's 900 Km or 650 mi from my home to DC, via the beautiful Pennsylvania trails and roads.

(GAP trail from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, Maryland, then C&O from there.)

Help pages are useful always.

"This page is a about two kinds of help:

* helping you, if you're running into problems
* helping us, if you'd like to support us"

"If you want to read about one or more of these topics, all you have to do is click on the various lists linked below and follow the people on these lists.

If you write about one or more of these topics and think that people wanting to read about the topic might benefit if they followed you, consider volunteering for a list.

Note that you cannot volunteer other people. People have to volunteer themselves. "

Reading through their page, I noticed "Trunk for the Fediverse".

What is it? communitywiki.org/trunk/

"Trunk allows you to mass-follow a bunch of people in order to get started with Mastodon or any other platform on the Fediverse.

If you click on one of the lists below, you'll see a page full of people that volunteered to be on that list. Yeah, people. Our goal is to connect newbies with people. The only exception we have is our list of Organizations."

Simple, good advice and organized.

And -- I discovered an awesome new thing, describing on next post.

@jahnke A lot of people are leaving the country now too, for similar reasons. I completely understand.

Things look bleak there now. I do visit to see family, but can't stay too long, there's too many memories of past problems, the news are so full of negative facts.

Any question, just ask, and someone will try and help out.

Have a good day!

@jahnke LOL, long enough. Born and raised, left when I couldn't take it anymore, was there until my early 30s.

@Javier
That must have been nice, indeed.

I visited Washington only once, and wanted to visit the Smithsonian museums, but the costs of accomodation in the city drove me off. Back to the C&O Canal trail which I had taken to ride there, bicycle touring.

free camping on the trail for hikers and bikers, can't beat that. A great touring route for cycling.

write.freely Writer's Guide - formatting explained

@freemo And it shows it here too. OOPS.

Got to make some new post there and see if it updates. It did not show last week when testing and looking for a home instance for my blog.

Bummer, they allow 10 Blogs per user, much more than my current place.

@freemo

And I just checked, and from another instance, my account at Write.social is also working. Dam.

I discarded them as a blog instance since I couldn't see it from here.

@shibaprasad @rgx

Sometimes people can be very obtuse.

Hopefully someone doesn't pull me back into that thread, lol.... 😜
