@Sphinx @susi123 @freemo I like rice too.

In my home country, rice and beans are a daily basic staple. Add some salad, some protein and you have a complete meal.

@tony2176 No, the Follow list is local to the instance you are logged on.

You can export a list of your followed persons here and import it on another instance though - that makes it easier to move or have more than one instance alive.

@tony2176 Maybe you can try and do one using a hashtag, like - then search for that hashtag in the other instance.

Should be easier to find it that way, this particular one I have used (I follow @Slowlyapp in twitter, and the tag there), found posts from different instances and from months ago.

@Surasanji @TheMadPirate
Yes, I noticed you mentioned living in Israel. Did the search for the news for my own info, didn't know what you were referring to.

Starting some distraction move like attacking someone is a common strategy for those in power.

@netkitty Ok, cool, that's why I asked. 😃

*Rubs Kitten head between ears. * That good?

@ragnar @freemo That sign is great! 😃

Short and effective.

Sometimes Churches might have some good ones too.

Bings Balkenbrij...

Rice, I love the Italian Arborio rice. More expensive than regular types, but makes beautiful and creamy rice. Add a few veggies like frozen peas and a poor mans Risotto results. :smiley:

Even without any added extras, Arborio has delicious taste.

Documentary Recommendation on a Snowy day... 😃

A favourite since I first saw it, Professor Betanny Hughes wrote and presented "When Moors Ruled Europe".

I loved and was fascinated by it, years later had the opportuinity to see Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada in the Andalucia region, Souther Spain.

@soum yes, gimme me a sec, take a snapshot of my Settings screen...

Done....

Go to Settings -- Other, bottom of the screen there's "Public Timelines". Select only the ones you want to see, hit save and from them on the other ones should be excluded.

VERY helpful!! 😃

@soum Someone posted about a new Trotsky documentary yesterday, it's on Netflix and I am looking forward to it.

He was a great man, unfortunately Stalin took control and did a lot of damage.

@soum Kids love snow days! :) We couldn't count on them, and it was a blessing when one was confirmed -- sometimes with a 6 am phone call. Gratefully enjoyed a freedom day, I used to be a teacher, now retired.

@soum I heard it might be coming in a future release, it's a nice feature.

For now, I discovered I can select only posts in the languages I understand, at least partially. Select those and then you won't see Japanese or Chinese ideogram posts, or some in script we have no idea either, which have started to show.

For the Federated feed, at certain times of the day that is a huge time saver, there were so many kanji posts flowing by.
