@moonshine@freespeechextremist.com @Skeeter Yeah, I imagine so, I would love to visit but am scared of sticker shock.

Look at some of the meals I had in Portugal, averaging about 7 Euros or so, with a drink (Red Wine for me) include. Ah, and coffee to taste, espresso included.

@moonshine@freespeechextremist.com @Skeeter None of the above I am afraid.

At those prices, I would bug out to the airport and fly to Lisbon! 😃

@Anke I was thinking this morning that eventually this could be an automatic feature, server side.

As the network grows, there will be more and more content we are not really interested in seeing; like it happens on the Facebook timelines.

Here's one big pond and no specific groups for themed posts unfortunately. I think something like Usenet is good to sort things out in a wide spread network.

@hackiechan @malavika A similar professional in the US would probably feel just as bad, if not worse than the OP.

Welcome to the Fediverse!

@raining_night People on your age group are facing some hardships. Costs for housing are astronomical in many places, due to speculation and excessive credit (easy money to avoid a depression when 2008 crisis hit, still on 11 years after); escalating tuition costs, low paying and difficult to find first jobs in their fields of study.

Without mentioning the more serious climate change possible consequences coming in near future.

I feel sorry for the generation, my own kids are included on it, my oldest is 35, the youngest is 20 this year.

Don't despair, keep going, we all have to struggle and hope things improve.

@rvlobato Verdade mesmo, e depois ainda mandam e desmandam. O povo todo está bem irritado, especialmente com o Supremo.

@raining_night That sounds nice, we don't need larger engines, really, makes the bikes heaveir and use more fuel. 650 is a nice size.

People here in north America are more into the HD ones, which are not my style.

Saw some nice sportier ones in Europe, and people travelling or going on rides in groups with them, nice.

@raining_night It is really nice. I watched all season one eps, then went looking for the novels, which are credited on the TV series opening screens. Read them all, plus another sequel a year later.

@raining_night @freemo Yes, sorry, I noticed the login prompt after posting it, sorry.

The author shouldn't share a link to his followers page if he decided to lock it. See The Gibson's post for a nice list.

@raining_night Yes, correct. I would want a good Touring bike, as I love to travel.

I had some bikes many years ago, the last one was a Honda CB 360.

This is the one I found - nice one.

BMW 1994 K1100LT special edition Motorcycle
$2,500.00 (about USD$2,000)

@raining_night Saw you asking for recommendations and thought about something, but a different genre.

An amazing Brit TV series, based on a trilogy of novels. Season 1 was a big success, we are waiting for season 2.

"A Discovery of Witches", originally aired on Sky TV, UK. Available on various places in the net if you look around (Kodi?)

@Full_marx That was very good. Well explained and logical.

Why do they marked him as a Fascist? He seemed to work to allow social mobility, not support the static, oppressive old system of castes.

@_lunawinters @Lord_VoldeMaut Those look delicious indeed. I can imagine a nice and spicy lentil filling, hot... :thumbsup_hmn_g1:

@raining_night Which brings to mind, curious, which motorcycle do you ride? the one in the profile photo?

I found a beautiful BMW here on the local classifieds, reasonable price. So tempting.

@_lunawinters Uncles are probably feeling bad for them being overweight, and counselling you in that way.

Seems to me you don't have to worry at all. Just listen like you have been doing.
