What Hairy said. Get a notebook and just concentrate on the technique for now, not the content. Once the tool gets familiar, you can forget it's there and concentrate on producing content, expressing yourself.

BTW, this is very common. Lost my cursive writing many years ago, when I leaned block letter writing, which served me well for architecture and design work. But it's slower...

It's getting too common as well, people are not satisfied with all the things accumulation and distractions. They feel the need for some peace and direction.

@SelectElderberry Yes, that DAC capabilty is wonderful, I imagine most devices we use to play will have low cost DAC chips on them, and we take their output thru the amp.

Haven't connected mine in that way yet, but remember reading the documentation and it explains. A USB connection to a laptop shows as a external sound card, and you just play thru it. My Fiio is a simpler model, but I still find it impressive, love the rechargeable battery and other features.

Bought a simpler small amp years ago from a small builder, but it required battery swapping, not so practical.

Playing the LPs when having guests is a great idea. 😄

@biologyshyology It is indeed interesting, how an idea evolves and ends up being a complete package, and when you look it makes perfect sense. Just the way it should be, how did we not see it before.

That is probably a good indication you found some truth. Takes time to build the small insight into the finished, clean product. But it's like building anything, start with a need or idea, jot notes, think, draw inferences or sketches.

Until it's finished, other people might not glimpse what is being built. Easier done individually, although have a friend of colleague to bounce ideas might help.
