@shahaan@mastodon.social You are welcome.
And I think that enjoying what we already have is not bad at all, no need to aspire for something out of hand just because we see an ad or a mention.
I have a few headphones, that I accumulted over the years. One I ordered and bought new in the box, then treated carefully, is in mint condition and super pretty looking - an AKG model, but it's open and the bass response a bit lower than I expected.
Then I found a nice pair of Sennheiser HD565 locally on the classifieds, bought them and they aer wonderful - more of the colour that I like.
Speakers are the same way, and the room acoustics can be incompatible with nice reproduction, so headphones are neat in creating a high quality listening experience, without requiring listening room upgrades. 😉
Sony makes good products, and if you are happy with the sound of this pair, wonderful.
I looked at the classifieds earlier and found the same amp I have for $50, used but in mint condition. It is a very nice device, can also be used as an external USB soud card in any laptop or desktop, if configured that way you get to use its better on board DAC instead of whatever is on the computer's motherboard.
At a very reasonable price. Canada Computers has them, I bought mine discounted as the model was being replaced.
Heard that they have a FiiO online store at AliExpress, it might be a good place to get their products too.
Found it! https://fiio.aliexpress.com/store/1473108?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.32fc184bRxlDck

Can't handle that much overload. Worse than those tv stations with assorted junk scrolling in the bottom, flashing here and there. I pass.
Is there Reader mode for TV watching? 😏
Amazon secretly planned to use facial recognition and Ring doorbells to create neighborhood "watch lists"

Desktops are so much easier and nicer to work with.
@mark_vasicek That is wonderful work. Well done.
Welcome to mastodon, Mark. ![]()
@freemo That is very nice indeed. It looks better on the preview image, has texture and shadow.
How did you convert it into ascii?
@freemo Incredible preservation, look at that fur! Wow.

NW, Porto is really nice. Not to get drunk on, but just to enjoy the taste, some good conversation with good people.
I visited the region where the grapes are grown this year, the Alto Douro, up the Douro River from the city called Porto itself.
The wine got that name from the place it came from. Similar to Madeira wines, which come from that lovely island.

For the record, there's nothing wrong with these lower priced Reds, they are honest Table wine.

Portuguese supermarket shelf. Notice the big range of pricing available, starting at just over Euro 1.5 or so.
Costs here in Canada are three times these, typically. 9 euros for a bottle of locally produced varietals.
The wineries all have monster Chateau kind of buildings; clearly overpriced and it shows in their ostentation.
Image from this page, might be an interestign read!

I meant the LCBO itself. For criticizing them here, lol.

LCBO.com doesn's seem to be responding atm, or maybe they already Blocked me! 😛
But here's a page that could be interesting.

There are so many good wines in Portugal, at all price levels. Can barely find ANY Portuguese wines at the LCBO, Ontario's liquor store controller. Pity.
They bring in all kinds of wines from all over the world.
"Port" made in Australia ?? If it was a French d.o.c. they would have a fit. Rightfully too.
I end up buying Italian wine from the less famous regions (Abbruzzo mostly, San Giovese grapes), or Chilean ones (Cab merlot mix is the currently open bottle).

Yes, do take care of those. Have a good trip!
Sometimes I wish we had an "opt out/unsubscribe" control in Mastodon. I just got stormed into a busy one, where we just had talked about Pizza, red Wine and nice ladies, then BOOM... 😜
