@hansw@mastodon.social @freemo I remember when school desks that had been there for decades still had the inkwell cutouts. Used fountain pens to start writing (pencil first, maybe, it's been a long time)

Ball points made things much easier, although there's pleasure in the flow of a fountain pen, if the person enjoyes it and spends the time to learn. Been a long time since I last used one.

Turn out is unreally low, in most other countries an election with that level of participation would be reported internationally as "suspicious".

And then. Electoral College.

The USA has been stuck in some political timewarps, it's past time for some major revisions. Two party system represents 330 million citizens?

Corporations are legally Citizens and can fund political campaigns?

Rest of the World watches in disbelief. Sadly, the result impacts the whole planet. Hope they get it right this time.

Geeky guys tend to dream of a girl who's got the same interests they do. I know. I found out a new penpal was right along those areas and couldn't believe it. Great fun to wait for her letter, and we got along well.

@IntegralDuChemin That would be a good time; the light starts to change and there are some luminous days, really pretty.

I like Spring best of all, Summer is a bit too hot and vegetation already not so lush as in Spring. Fall has nice colours, but I know what comes after and it's a sad time of the year for me, Winter. Not a fan.

Hope it works out, the poly can indeed hurt feelings if anyone feels jealousy. 😔
