Meeko in his new home. Those Blue eyes. Incredible. Good luck, bro.

We've updated our twitter name as I have a new brother.

Hoomans are keeping us separated until Meeko is less shy.

Over night Meeko will have a huge cage to keep him in to keeps him safe as I might play too rough.

I’ve noticed that with every killing of an unarmed black person, there are white folks who decide that they want to “fight racism.”

I’m not here tryna kill your vibe, I’m happy you’re here, but it’s also time for some honesty. So…

10 years! Dad has had a HUGE piece of workout equipment taking up space. Mum ordered a Christmas tree storage bag, dismantled the steel monster and packed it under the bed. He doesn’t want to let it go. Score one for mum ‘cuz we got a box! ❤️Ella

Since it's for fun what's your cat's secret talent or ability?

Mac can open doors, all the doors in our house except outside & bathroom doors have a gap underneath & he's learned to stick his paw under & push/pull it open. 😹

@koyu@koyu.space @gioypi

Thank you!! 😺

We had a nice conversation here in the local timeline and I was VERY pleased to hear our fearless admin saying he was ok for trying out a Pleroma test instance sometime in the (near?) future.

Followed by evaluating, letting users try it, and decide if a migration was possible.

I really like these two projects, both and are pushing the boundaries, inovating and giving us Proof of Concept. That yes, it CAN be done.

We have a huge database, so to move Qoto and all content is a major job -- and conversion tools for the database would be key to enable such a move. To GlitchSocial, I think it would be an easier path, since it's a leading edge Mastodon fork, not a whole new project like Pleroma.

@freemo mentioned seeing the users impressions - and I forgot to mention, but Pleroma offers 2 or 3 different options of Front End -- the part that us users see daily.

- The Pleroma FE, which is different and takes getting used to.

- The Mastodon FE, which is in fact a port of GlitchSocial web client -- the same one in use at Koyu.space, with the enhancements GS has, and VERY similar to a mastodon generic instance for a casual user.

...while the Local Power Users get the full goodness of MarkDown, or BBcode, if they want to exercise Formatting rights. 😛

That Masto FE is a good selling tool if a migration gets to happen. Future Beckons. 🌇

Two screenshots attached, 8-- pixels wide to save Bytes.

1. Pleroma FE in use.
2. Mastodon FE / GS in use, both at expired.mentality.rip/

Don't I wish this could be a Standard post, with optional formatting if a user desired ?

It is, at a Glitch Social instance, where it was made and a snapshot taken.

is needed.

Formatting included in this one :

- H1 Heading in first line.
- light touches of Bold and Italicized text
- URL link for Reddit page hidden under text description.

Not used but handy too :

- Quotes, OMG.
- Code tag with stand out text
- other Heading sizes.

Supported out of the box in GS instances. Thank you @koyu@koyu.space

* Open Letter to a Friend in Need - May, 2020. *

I just wrote a long, from the heart, a reply;

To a new user who joined our sub for SlowlyApp at Reddit this morning.

The post started as a comment, and I wanted to cheer her and offer some advice, from someone who has experienced quite similar events; and more than once, indeed.

Upon developing the comment, I felt it had a lot to cover, to share and to explain; and that it could be helpful to others. Since I have been posting actively on my new blog, it felt like good content for a new page.

It is live now - Blog page is at : wordsmith.social/friends-near-
