@hashtaggrammar I thought about that. Not really it isnt used as any serious type of security measure anymore. It is pretty common to publish signatures on products too

@Taweret@octodon.social Wesley horrible in every episode. I think thats why we all like him, he just looks like a nervous kid trying to do his best to act and we all cut him a break cause its scifi and we are all used to accepting bad actors in sci fi :) It is still my favorite series though. The first season is rough to get through though.

I normally have pretty atrocious handwriting. I've been spending some time lately trying to practice and improve my hand writing and decided to start with my signature. I wanted to try to come up with a slightly fancy prettier version of my signature. This is finally what I came up with. Not entirely happy with the F but its the best I could come up with so far.

I also included a picture of my old signature for comparison.

@Taweret@octodon.social It is never not a good time for a rewatch of TNG!

@PunaisetPimpulat Yea it does occassionally skip. It isnt just a matter of velocity no matter how slow I take the other pen the ink is always lighter. Only way I can get it to be darker is if i go over the same line a few times.

@LWFlouisa I can ban someone, mark their posts as sensative, and delete posts, all without logging into their account. You can do it from the admin console. At no point can I obtain a users password and at no point does the server or software store a copy of your password, not even to verify login.

@LWFlouisa I'm confused, you seemed to have an issue with them keeping your password. What does banning you have to do with keeping someone's password? Those seem unrelated.

@LWFlouisa Admins on mastodon do not have access to your password and at no point is your password stored on the servers as far as i know. What makes you think it is?

@jond good advise. I'm an admin over at and I will pass that advice along to my users.

@rtwx The only legitimate argument I got was the lack of groups/communities. Which is legit, though local timelines can provide a similar function. But its something that should be added properly IMO.

@LWFlouisa Yup, it only changes because of the whims of a lot of retartds :)

@rtwx I'm still learning some of the nuance, but seems the ink plays as much a role as the pen. These are all the same model of pen, different inks. The plain black from cross was the worst in terms of how well it wrote, all of them feathered a bit, but the iroshizuku was pretty nice, though i found the color to be a bit too light (not the inks fault, im sure its meant to be that color.

I can say this, the Diamine OX Blood ink in the good pen writes better than the Iroshizuku ink does in the knock-off pen. So in this case at least it seems the pen was working against me more than the ink.

So finally got the more expensive fountain pen in made by TWSBI, All the others I showed before were knock offs, much cheaper, by wings. The knock offs were nice but the original certainly writes way better. Here are the two side by side, both using the same ink (OX Blood). Not only was the flow much more consistent from the TWSBI but the ink actually looks noticeably darker despite having the same stroke width. Both pens use Extra Fine Nibs. The TWSBI is the clear winner even at 5x the cost.

The difference in color was so significant I thought maybe I just didnt mix the ink before filling the cheaper pen. Nope, even after dumping the ink and refilling it with freshly mixed ink the color is exactly the same.

@letthewatersroar@toot.cafe Sure, If its appropriate then by all means use it. But they have to be pretty much trying to push for slavery or at least segregation before pulling ht enazi card even enters your thought process IMO.
