@loki fair. I see content warnings usually as a bit silly since you never know what will or will not trigger someone. With that said I'd never hold it against someone for using one.

With that said just using it as a means to summarize content and expand more details makes perfect sense to me and can be useful.

@loki I'm fairly new here but it seems almost everything is CWed. I'm starting to see it as less of a content warning and more of a way of summarizing a post and being able to expand it.

@loki I wasnt trying to give you a hard time for your choice. Just struck me as unusual is all.

A n-body simulation I wrote using Aparapi. The red dots are high mass and the blue dots low mass. The system starts ordered but evolves into a beautiful natural looking orbit.

@loki Ahh ok makes sense. Odd to use a content warning for a selfie though, but seems people are pretty excessive with CW on mastodon in general.

My favorite computer used for all my Deep Learning R&D. When idle it usually defaults to mining cryptocurrency to offset its build cost of about $10,000.

@loki Not sure why that showed as "sensitive content" but I see it now. Beautiful color, that is indeed a lovely dress :)

@Ronald I was thinking about that. Obviously if there was a way to hack it so you could follow/mention across platforms like twitter it could be a win.

One little hackish way to do that is if you could link to your twitter account. If you mention someone on twitter it posts the text here but then shares it on twitter with the actual mention. If all posts were duplicated you could sorta follow in both directions. If someone were to write that it could be a game changer.

@sampo Why would anyone want to do that when they can lay down? Lying down is like the caviar of orientations!

Adapted my primality test algorithm to do a check for if a number is a "Perfect Number" (the sum of all its dividends equals the number itself). This one was fun and turned out to be super fast as well. It was written in Haskell.

My antenna fell down during a storm. It's back up now with 8 ropes to hold it in place. Damn thing better stay up. For reference it is about 25 feet tall.

Why do people say "it goes without saying" before they say what it is that goes without being said?
