I disagree with all of those. Since they are all humans, and it is not ok to be human, it is wrong to be any subcategory of human as well. The only thing it is ok to be is a doggo.

@Hyolobrika Very rarely. But since this has escalated to a moderation event that could potentially lead to defederation (depending on the response from the admin) I generally find it important to engage with the accused within reason.

Obviously this dude is just a troll and is happy to weave whatever fantasy he wishes. But as a moderator I generally feel that official moderation should be rather generous with its communication before acting.

Nothing wrong with being strict about child abuse. If any reports came in on QOTO of someone condoning child abuse or worse yet a sexual picture of a child, then the server would get defederated if it is condoned by the server.

I said I never **knowingly** interacted with a MAP. I dont usually read through a persons profile or investigate them if they show up in my feed.

If I was talking to a MAP then I had no idea he was a MAP. I'm not pyschic. Whoever it was I would have happily blocked them if I was aware they diddled little kids.

@louisrcouture Where do you see him shooting someone far away? Three people were shot.. 1) was the first guy who was chasing him, threw stuff at him, and shot him when he got in arms reach and tried assaulting him. 2) was when he was chased by a mob, fell to the ground and multiple people came within arms reach and started assaulting him, he shot that due... #1 and #2 died. 3) was the guy he shot ONLY after he aimed a pistol at him. Prior to that the man approach him with arms raised and he explicitly did not shoot him. But once the person aimed a gun at him he shot.

#3 was admitted to be the case by the person shot, he was the only one of the 3 who lived.

So where do you see him shooting anyone at a distance other than the one person who aimed a gun at him (and in that case he shot non-lethally).

@pthenq1 yes he is guilty of killing people who were attempting to commit murder and saved a life (his own)... again I am ok with that.

If we ever get a report of an instance with CP we would block that instance. So far it simply hasnt been an issue and it has never entered anyones feed here to be reported.

You are correct on plain vanilla mastodon. But QOTO has quite a few extra features and formatted posts is one of them.

You are talking about me locally blocking poa.st, not a QOTO wide block... yes. Not because of content on their servers but because they would flood my replies and I found no value from a single member in their replies.

As for MAP instances, no one from a MAP instance that I am aware of has ever contacted me, I dont even know which MAP instances are out there or exist. So I have never had a need to block them. That said if MAPs start flooding my feed or contacting me then I would probably block them too.

Because it has now escalated to a moderator intervention. The user is entitled to know their violation and should the user recognize their error, apologize, and agree to not continue to circumvent bans then the issue will be dropped. If they continue then we will await foreign moderator action and let them deal with it. If not, as stated, defederation would be the last step according to our rules.

Our moderation process is always open and always includes all parties involved.
