No not jusy that it creates amother problem. The relevant part isnit creates new problems while doing **nothing** to fix tbe existing one. You want to tax large corps more, but you cant becajse your "solution" only results in them getting out ofnit at the cost of the government.

@stux

How does point out your idea doesnt fix the problems and adds new ones in any way remotely suggest i dont see a problem? It implies indo see a problem its just not one your solution makes better.

There are tons of big issues with economy, hige corps included.

@stux

Basically what you are saying

If wr expect the changes we makr to society yo actually improve things then nothing will ever get done".

@stux

How is that a smaller issue? Youve turned companies intompaperwork nightmares for the government, didnt actually get any more taxes from thr big companies, in fact you lost money due to higher admin costs.

In order to say that implementing this results in a smaller problem youd have to shownjt addresses at least part of tbr pronlem, when in fact this doesnt and simply introduces new problems

@stux

Well its an issue created solely by yournproposal. So you have tonsolve it now, not before we adoptmsomething that fixes nothing and juat adds a new problem.

@stux

It also makes no sense. Large companies would just divide themselvesnup into lots of small companies all owned by tbe same people. Woukd creat tons kf waste to avoid taxes and benefit no one.

@wjmaggos I'd say this debate is a very clear sign from heaven that god wants them to vote third party :)

@ech They arent? I mean fear of ruasia invading alaska is tbe whole reason we took alaska over. They ha e shown already they will happily invade anywhere thry think they can win.

@holgerpatzelt @rchusid

I disagree. A violayed treaty gives you justificatikn and a right to retaliation you wouldntnotherwise have.

Moreover tresties and negotiations arent thenonly advantages, simply being able to have a temporary ceasefire with nonpromises from either side is also a win.

Witbout.communicaton the other side cant even negotiate a surrender. Trust has little to do with why we talk.

@ech I dunno alaska is pretty close to russia. Anything that has russia gaining power will be bad for us. Its not.like resoirces from the west of russia cant easily get to the east.

@ech Eurppe is no more responsoble forr ukraine than we are. I donagree thouvh we have to either support them fully or be neutral. Half commiting to one side of a war is wasteful and immoral. It only drags things out.

@holgerpatzelt @rchusid

Whwn did i or anyone say he is trustworthy. You dont talk to your enemiea out of a sense of trust...

@rchusid Absolutely. This is one of the few areas Trump was correct.

Donald Trump has many faults but Harris is wrong-- it is better to negotiate with enemies than to support endless wars. #Debate2024

@d5wstat I share the data here about 5 times a year. Its all collected direct from the gocernments of the variojs nations ive used. Ill look for it again when im not on my phone and link you to it. It included england, ireland, australia, jamaica, and several usa states as i recall.

@stux

What was the full quote and context... Cant even say im surprised at this point though.

In almost every case were guns were banned the death toll skyrocketed in the years that follow, int he few countries where homicide doesnt change much you still see huge upticks in violent crimes, in particular rape.

You cant be against guns without being for murder and rape.

@louis@ingenthron.sociaSure and im saying instead of wasting time trying to addreas nonproblema you should instead e trying to make sure people get value for the utility they provide (a metrocity) rather than trying tonaddress something that isnt the underlying problem.

If pepple can buy themselves into positions ofnpower tbensokition iant to try to eliminate anyonr with excess mk ey who can exploiit tbat. If you did you qouldnt be solving anything just adding a new problem. Instead you fix the issues that let money buy positions and actually fix the problem.

@louis

Again wealth inequality is not the problem, so supporting wealth gaining is not a valid example.

You claimed there were donations intended to keep the markets unfree, last i checked Trump generally is not pushing for an unfree market, though maybe he is, he is a moron so he might have something like that... The democrats generally push price fixing, minimum wage, and other things that make for non-free markets.
