The official unit of measure in the carribean is the heap. Interestingly it is unheard of to have a fractional number of heaps. Most typically you will simply have a single, whole, heap, particularly when measuring a specific quantity of trouble. For example "man chew be in a whole heap'a trouble".

Oh! This is a nice paper summarizing a lot of information about prior choice in Bayesian models. It's targeted at ecologists and the kinds of models they tend to use, but useful outside of ecology I expect.

This pretty much sums up life in america these days. Nothing but extremist fanatics on both sides, it is so sad :(
So I just tried a traditional dutch breakfast snack for the first time and it was amazing. You put butter/margarine on some bread (usually untoasted but fresh) then add some chocolate jimmies that actually taste like chocolate (not that American crap). The result is suprisingly tasty.
