@freemo @Surasanji @arteteco This is where the study of tribal psychology comes into play. We are wired to be good members of our tribe above anything else. They've done studies multiple times that indicate that as soon as something becomes an issue of "us vs them," people will believe outright lies because it's just what our brain does. So you can argue facts all day long but the real issue is tribalism.

@freemo It's an interesting concept, but I think it might be more reasonable to instead admit where we think our own side has been wrong, or too extreme.

@criw Post pictures when you do! A fresh tortilla makes such a huge difference

@criw In case you don't know, making your own tortillas and pasta is way easier than you'd think. For pasta, you can buy a relatively cheap hand crank pasta maker and the special flour off of Amazon. Then it's super easy to make tacos (including frying avocados) and marinara sauce!

@indiauplko I would want neither. Even under disguise, away from all the unwanted attention and pressure, I'd be constantly anxious about what I should be doing with those powers instead. Good and bad things would both happen because the world needs balance when it comes to power. I'd much rather stay normal and continue to work on educating people about increasing their emotional intelligence, which I believe is the root of a lot of evil...

@coryw They're basically ripping off Sony, who has dominated the mirrorless market lately

@freemo @indiauplko Umm no. I am a woman and I need underwear. Do I need to explain why...? :)

@thewaether You aren't confined to the mastodon.social instance (which is like...a pod?). You can search for other instances that are more your style and move over there. My instance, QOTO, has some mastodon.social expats.

@Surasanji For me it's eggs over easy, some roasted potatoes, and bacon that isn't too crispy. I can't overeat at breakfast or else I just want to go back to sleep!

@aspektx That sounds like a great complement to this one. I think Rosling even references it in his book, or at least Pinker's work.

@andylu Oh also, I'm only going to be posting on social media, and you lose quality that way anyway.

@andylu Thanks for the suggestion! I'm wary of new reviews because these guys usually get paid for positive reviews. I'm going with the first generation since DJI is known for being super buggy in their new generations. I can always upgrade in a few years when I'm sure the future model will be even better!

@freemo WILL DO! And thanks for the video service info!

@freemo Funny you ask because I was *just* researching video/photo shoot ideas and making a list of what I'll want to capture! I'll be super basic to start...but expect a lot of shots of PA in the fall so very soon :)

I've played with my friend's drone a few times in the past few months, and I just couldn't shake the desire to get one.

@freemo @Demo318 Well, you can't build persuasive arguments without it. It takes a lot more than just watching a few videos to change one's worldview. My boyfriend, for example, was a conservative, and then he traveled, and became liberal.
