Say what you will about #aiart but this playlist cover I just created using #midjourney is peak #metal and it's f**king awesome.
#linux AMD graphics is now boring when I first got the amd ryzen chip with built-in graphics, it was too new for Linux. I was always compiling the latest kernel to get it to work better. Now, I’m just using Debian Sid, and letting it take care of kernel updates. Very nice.
Googs won’t release AI Just skimming the news, and G has an AI that comes up with acceptable music. AI is going to hit a lot of high-margin industries, and G can’t figure out how to tack on ads to it. I’ll be happy with AI news and weather, and AI Hallmark movies, and popular music. Can’t be any different….
Bladder Baby I wrote this a while ago. It’s for all the old men out there.

#linux My KDE is back This time when I saw a bunch of plasma updates, I did a full-upgrade from the main console. I have a superstition about using ‘apt upgrade’ inside kde, and this confirms it. I had a black screen background, and no digital clock. :(
#physics #weather Gulf Stream may be back For most, it was never gone, but since 2016, the temperature plot of the ocean did not show any thermal signal that was different from the Pacific. Now it shows warmer water up past Scandinavia. This is leading the plumes up into that zone. No idea what that means.
AI will mop up the mediocre I can’t stand reading anything from the AI, but the ‘essay’ format is dead. Nobody reads this stuff. I need AI to run my 3d printer (dreaming!). I need it to arrange appointments, and deal with stupid people. When I’m in the home, I’ll play cards with the AI, and train it to laugh at my jokes. It can make movies, and do all the art stuff for me. :) AI can do all the mediocre science stuff, like endless increments. Everybody in Canada will be on welfare. In the US, they’ll starve, and die of ‘Endless Covid” :)
#physics #weather Extreme cold is climate change It all makes sense to the influencers.
https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/25/asia/east-asia-cold-snap-climate-japan-korea-china-climate-intl-hnk/index.html
“we can consider this extreme weather – extremely hot weather in summer and extremely cold weather in winter – as one of the signals of climate change.”
This is the exact same symptom as the ocean currents flipping, and the coming of the Little Ice Age. Of course, this is all due to carbon dioxide acting as a thermal blanket. I’m 100% for this, and I no longer have to offer basic physics.
I will continue to show the charts that the world temperatures are going down, and this is an ‘all inclusive deal’. Drink all you want!
In Canada, we will get colder and the Arctic ice will build up. There’s nothing that climate change can’t do. Just don’t invest in an Arctic shipping service.
In the summer, we are free to note that El Nino has been killed by his little sister La Nina, and his body stashed in a snow drift. It’s all good! Invest in umbrella sales for Australia.
#linux KDE update is a muck today Lots of widgets won’t work. Not the worst muck….
#physics #weather Europe is a warmer mess This is what I mean about it being a mess, but the African air is coming back, and the Siberian air is gone. Lots of tropical plumes up in the northern reaches, again warming everything. The influencers can dance again, the cold air isn’t building up, and it will never come down again….
#weather Toronto driveway cleared We have the fun that the guy cleaning out the snow-row at the end is always too late. This was with my 6hp Honda single-throw blower which is enough for Toronto. Doing a full maintenance on my indoor sprout farm seemed to be more exhausting, but with limp, flavourless lettuce being so expensive, we all greatly enjoy the microgreens.
Descended from Unix freaks, I evolved to Linux. Some people might consider me old at 60+, but I'm suing the world to get my age down to 30.
I have a blog https://ontario-geofish.blogspot.com/
and it is read by 8 people. My formal education is in an extinct branch of science called geophysics. Since there was no money in it, I went to engineering. I've done tunnels, radwaste thingies, etc.
