Dear Proton community member,
Starting today, we are bringing all Proton services together into a unified, privacy-by-default ecosystem that allows us to deliver even more benefits to the Proton community and make privacy accessible to everyone.
The unified ecosystem has a new and modernized visual design, improved functionality, and better product integrations to provide a unified experience across all our services (Proton Mail, Proton VPN, Proton Calendar, and Proton Drive). These changes will be rolled out progressively over the coming days and weeks.
What we’ve improved
A new, unified Proton website at proton.me – The URL protonmail.com now redirects to proton.me, and new Proton Mail web sessions will start at mail.proton.me. Note, your email addresses are not changing. For example, if you have an @protonmail.com email address, it will remain the same.
More email address options – You can add an @proton.me address to your account for free (this is an extra address, it does not replace your existing addresses).
Improved Proton plans – If you’re already a paying subscriber, you’ll enjoy a storage boost. Depending on your plan, you may also receive new features at no extra cost, including additional email addresses, upgraded access to Proton VPN, and more.
New logos and colors – We’ve updated our website and all of our mobile and web apps with new logos and colors to provide a unified visual experience. Discover the story behind Proton’s new logos.

What isn’t changing
Your existing Proton Mail email addresses are not changing. For example, if you have an @protonmail.com email address, it does not change.
Proton’s philosophy is also not changing. We will always be open source, independent, neutral, and community-first. The new version of Proton is only the beginning, and we look forward to bringing you many more services and features in the near future.
Thank you for supporting us as we build a better internet where privacy is the default.
Stay secure,
The Proton Team

However, while performing a security audit of the DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser, security researcher Zach Edwards discovered that while the browser blocks Google and Facebook trackers, it allowed Microsoft trackers to continue running.
DuckDuckGo CEO and Founder Gabriel Weinberg confirmed that their browser intentionally allows Microsoft trackers third-party sites due to a search syndication agreement with Redmond.

Not as much as I wish
@gamer
"Because of how much it cost her emotionally to produce this project “she wished she didn't have to make” and being tired of controversies over her work, Sewerslvt decided that she would quit on making music in the final weeks of 2021, tying in with the album's release date."

"As you've probably already guessed, we've decided to replace the current Web IDE with one built on top of VS Code. In the coming milestones, we will build out custom support for the features not already available in the VS Code core, and validate that the workflows you already depend on in the Web IDE are handled in the new experience. We're working with the team that builds our amazing GitLab Workflow extension for VS Code to make it available in the browser so we can bundle it in the Web IDE, and bring all those great features along for the ride. That includes bringing merge request comments into the Web IDE for the first time ever!"
@2ck never made it myself! You should post the process next time!
