Centenarian::
A centenarian is a person who has reached the age of 100 years. Because life expectancies worldwide are below 100 years, the term is invariably associated with longevity.

Veteran::
a person who has had long experience in a particular field.

Greybeard::
greybeard (plural greybeards) An old man. (figuratively) Any of the members of a group who have been there the longest, often implying experience.

Because uncharted voyages into the endless void full of monsters hell-bent on eating you alive couldn't possibly have psychological repercussions.

Because not-killing an alien species on first contact after they leave their ship is an actually commendable thing to do.

1492 was a trippy time for everyone.

2092 will likely be the same thing in a different scene.

For those of you using youtube-dl, Google is being scummy and it's throttling the connection to their servers to those using it.

https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl/issues/29326

For now, the workaround to make it work is to switch to yt-dlp, which is a fork of youtube-dl.

Interesting fact of the day: The term "patching" software originates from the fact that you would literally patch holes in early hole punch input in order to fix an issue. Attached is a picture with such patches on it from the Harvard Mark I computer.

>>1. Matrix requires a lot of work to build a server, but Discord does not.
If you're hosting your own local server, yes- otherwise, it's easy to create a new channel/chat. Discord doesn't allow you to host your own server, so you would be just creating the same thing anyway.
>>2. Matrix costs money to maintain the service, but Discord doesn't unless you sign up for Nitro or something.
Not sure if we're talking about the same thing- I've never heard of anyone paying to use Matrix.
>>3. Matrix is not used by many people around me, but Discord has users all over the world, making it the best way to communicate.
I suppose since you're trying to target a larger audience, using Discord would be the most sensible option. This last reason is enough in itself to justify not using Matrix- so I guess the previous 2 are moot point anyway. Sorry to have wasted your time.

@AureoleArk why not use Element or some other matrix alternative?

Museums are finding it nearly impossible to post imagery containing artistic nudity on social media because their posts keep getting deleted and accounts suspended or banned, so Vienna's museums opened a page on OnlyFans.

TikTok closed the Alberta museum account for showing an obscured woman's breast.

Facebook ruled the 25,000 year old Venus of Willendorf figurine as pornographic and removed the post.
