Conferences now became quite close-minded and elitist: the same people, year after year, polished presentations, barely any input at all. There are a few large ones every year, but they are expensive and quite limited number of people are allowed in. Which raises the question: does anyone know a platform or a website where one could post unpolished results and discuss them with other in hopes of feedback, corrections or even collaboration?

@ai6yr

Brain Fart! It's called tut NOT tui. Sheesh! :-)

@KD7DMP

@ai6yr

Check out tui it's has a better UI in my opinion and is updated more regularly than toot. Also, if one is familiar with Vim, it uses similar keys.

Should Start Their Own Mastodon Server | The Tyee

Now’s a great time for our public broadcaster to stop relying on privately owned platforms to reach its audience.

Tough news for a so called civilized country with Universal Health Care. Our government in has been underfunding the medical system for decades. Now we're in a crisis thanks to the politico's!

@frayoshi Might be syncthing with the bug too. Report it to your distro bug system is what I'd do and use your previous kernel or a different one. I noticed an update to syncthing recently, don't know if that is relevant to your issue though. Cheers.

Just to clarify, I consider myself an absolute beginner both in biology and bioinformatics as I have little to no practical experience at the moment, so please don't take my opinions as if they come from an expert. If there is something I know for a fact, is that biology is complex so it takes more than a few years in university to truly understand it, that's why I never feel 100% confident with my knowledge - this is also why I joined qoto, I'm sure that reading discussions and asking experts will enrich my views.

Veteran's Day means a lot to me; but a few years ago it got way more personal. Returning a soldier's dog tag on Veteran's day in 2014 will stick with me until I pass away. Here's the story.

Can't promise every book will be weird, but most are
